So the :"news" source concocts something that scares someone that make the news come true -- something stinks here
"Jones told WND there's actually no emergency of any kind, as it's a peaceful Sunday with people attending church; but in the wake of a WND report which exposed allegations of wrongdoing by local government officials, the town council and police convened an unpublicized meeting to declare an emergency for their own protection."

Isn't Jan Brewer the governor who wanted to grant the police in her state the questionable authority to stop anyone and "demand papers" to prove citizenship. I don't think she will be of much help. Her loyalties are dubious at best.

You are lucky this thread has not been deleted due to activism. I somewhat recently made a thread right after I heard the news that Obama wanted to put medicare "on the table" to Republicans. I gave the US Whitehouse comment line. My thread was -immediately- "trashed" for "activism". Your thread is a really important fight against tyrrany, and isn't a conspiracy forum all about trying to learn the truth about tyrrany?

In case you guys didn't know this, the police are not at the beck and call of the Mayor. He doesn't and can't dictate whatever policy he wants to the police. I've read of Mayor's being arrested by their own police for drunk driving.
This lady was overstepping her bounds. I've been to many town meetings and people get riled up. Add to that her other job as running some sort of paper there and you can imagine her rants and raves. She had the floor said her peace and was asked to step down, probably to let someone else speak. When she wouldn't surrender the microphone so someone else could have a turn she was threatened with being escorted out.
The mayor then allowed her to speak again where she went right back into her furious accusations instead of bringing up logical points again and was again told to surrender the microphone. The council doesn't have all night to listen to the ramblings of one hysteric woman. The police then proceeded to escort her out where she was being unruly so they arrested her.
Just because the Mayor said not to do it in no way means they shouldn't have. He has no power at this point to tell the police how to do their job.
I like how everyone ignores the facts and turns this into some civil rights issue. For all you know the Mayor was having an affair with this lady.

She is the best hope of resolving this quickly as she is the final authority of the state. This is a precedent we must not allow to be set. Imagine emboldened police chiefs and other corrupt government figures overthrowing the rightful leaders in there communities anytime the constitution or liberty gets in the way of there fascism?

I agree that this is a precedent that must not allowed to be set, but I think that the best hope of resolving this would be better left to someone who isn't disadvantaged by her clear and present idiocy, namely Jan Brewer.

After she made her point there was nothing more to say. I've seen people that would literally get on their soap box and speak for hours unless somebody moves the meeting along. Once she was determined to have violated the law, such as disorderly conduct the Mayor no longer can dictate to the police.
He does not have the power to tell them to arrest this person or let that person go when they've commited a crime. He should have been arrested too for trying to obstruct the police.
And I already mentioned I didn't know if it was a newspaper or something else. My point in regards to that was that she was probably more well versed in things so would have had no shortage of things to continue on with after the council had gotten the point of what she was trying to say.
They are there to come up with ideas or solutions, not to let individuals rant for as long as they want.

Thank you for this story. There are some sources available that I was able to find that validated your story. I also saw the YT video of what transpired. Creepy. I gathered all the sources I could and informed more people on another popular website. The more people know, the harder it will be to pretend this never happened. I gotta say "Wow," but I'm not surprised in the least bit. It's happening...

So your saying that mayors can just walk through jails and tell the cops to let whoever they want to go free. Doubtful. I also highly doubt they can order officers to make arrests when there is no evidence. Sure the mayor may be in charge but that doesn't give him the right to dictate how they do their job.
If this lady commited a crime that the police deemed legitimate then the mayor has no authority to order them to do something different. If it was a false arrest than they should be held accountable but the police are not there to serve the mayor as his own little personal posse.
