I know this is sorta off topic but i just have to say islam is just as bad of a religion as all the others. There are some brutal things in the bible too. Dont go getting all high and mighty christianity has be the guise of evil for many century's now. off course that is just my opinion.

The police and government route is the likely option but they have had years to curb this problem and have done almost nothing. It is getting better though.

i'll be the first to say that the bible is an offensive book. many things (mostly in the old testament) are hard to come to terms with, but imagine a scenario for a moment: that the god of the bible is real, and it is his word, would you reject it still?

i love physics and science, and (i don't wish to sound arrogant, but some things are the way they are) i'm gifted at both. the reason i believe christianity to be true is because evolution is lacking. the big bang supports the idea of a God causing the universe. (knowing that a finite starting point is evidence of something CAUSING the universe, atheists have turned to an unprovable theory with no evidence that says our universe was spawned by the collapse of another ad infinitum).

i've studied a decent amount of religions, but there is something different and unique about christianity. think about it! a god permanently contaminating the godhead by becoming a lowly creation out of love for that creation? to be killed by his own creations to save the others.

"personal experience" doesn't account for much validity, but there are things i have seen that make me know i am right.

Beer is my religion. I don't care if you are black, white, yellow silver or orange. I don't care if you are a muslim, a christian or a robocop. You ask me to step away from my beer and I will unleash fury upon you.

First of all , reacting to the original post , I have to say a number of things. First and most telling, the story about OP getting told to cease the consumption of alcohol as he was walking down the road is perhaps made slightly less offensive to the average person by the following information. First of all , walking around with a beer on the street will get you stopped by police more often than not. If one is in a built up area , that goes double, because many urbanised areas have large swathes of thier streets covered by an anti alcohol bylaw anyway. The High Street of my hometown is no exception, and the carriage of open containers of alcohol is prohibited under British law there.

Secondly, this sticker control zone , has no backing from government, or from law enforcement organisations what so ever, and therefore has no teeth.Any enforcement therefore of the "new rules" will likely be met with legal action against the enforcer. Therefore the headline is misleading (although no doubt copied verbatim as per the rules of ATS) and is nothing but propeganda. When you consider the source of this article, the reason for these apparantly deliberate attempts to mislead the reader, becomes clear. That reason of course being, that the editors, owners, and controllers of that publication are a bunch of right wing fascist scum who should have been shot in the knees and left to die in thier own effluent years ago, and they are attempting to corrupt otherwise roundly developed individuals in thier readerbase, into the same sort of thinking as thier own.

When the police begin to enforce the Sharia law, THAT will be an actual control zone, but as it is, the zones discussed in the article, and the people who intend to enforce them, will not be protected by law in this country , and they have no right under this nations laws to subvert, bypass, or replace our law with thier own, or to take law into thier own hands. They will suffer the same punishment as any other random punk without a cause , if found to have been unlawful in thier actions, and they surely will be.

The concern felt by upstanding members of society about Sharia law is of course understandable. However, outright panic, fear, despair even, are not the correct responses to the truth of this articles content. Laughter at yet another media body attempting to drive a wedge into an open wound , yet another media body trying to divide us further as a people, and as a nation... thats a reasonable response. But allowing ones self to be fearful , and to become outraged by this non event is like getting angry with a stuffed toy in the shape of the Devil. It will avail you of nothing, but a waste of energy , and a loss of direction in life.

Move on, go to work. Oh , and one more thing. Only the least reputable of persons drink on the street. Take it home, or go to the pub like a reasonable chap.

First thing, we have to look at one of the sources, its a certain Mr Choudray who is a joke to most ordinary Muslims, he preaches extremism but he's not as powerful as he makes out BUT he's still a danger as he rabble rouses the youth who then take things into their own hands.

One of the troubles with his wish for 'emirates' made out of area's of London is that to do this he would have to clear out many of the same people he would count on for support. Many area's of London and other cities have Muslim gangs who control drugs and prostitution. Around here where I live its the Sharia chanting teens who are the biggest problem for drugs and gang activities.

So, to be true to his wants Mr Choudray would either have to remove these infidels or make them truly militant extremists and lets me tell you, these boys won't be giving up their drug cash for any one.

Choudray himself is an ex drug taker and drinker..Fact.

So its all flawed so far but there IS a real worry that the small gangs that ARE real militants and that follow their bastardised version of the Koran and don't do drugs, smoke etc and that do want Sharia law may well get a bit more bold, Tower Hamlets in East London has a problem with the gangs putting up stickers etc but they have also killed one man and left other people either crippled or hurt badly INCLUDING a fellow Muslim who dared to be seen smoking.

Now its these gangs that are the real worry, with every day they become more daring, more violent and DO scare the innocent population of the borough because like cowardly animals they hunt the weakest people in packs, why take on a few big strong lads when you can scare the hell out of a 75yr old woman with no comeback.

Its these gangs who ARE a growing problem, they are following bastardised ways of severe violence and intimidation, to them, you either turn or die, there's no middle ground. At the moment they have not gone for the hacking of heads off but it only takes a couple of people to do it and it will spread like wildfire as they get whipped up to a frenzy by the Saudi Clerics sent here to do just that.

This isn't my view, this is reality, this IS happening, I have met these people, I have a good knowledge of their teaching for both the ordinary Muslims and the extremists (they are different!) and I've seen and heard what is wanted and been told about the sudden visits to a Mosque from a Saudi Cleric, only there to preach hatred about Non Muslim Westerners.

And there's the rub, all these converts who think they are safe should think again, once the control gets big enough they will classify the converts as not being 'proper' Muslim and they will be turned on..

And to end, Islam ISN'T a religion of peace but to be honest most religions are not if you look at them, very few escape but Islam and Judaism is the only one's that continues to use barbaric violence on such a scale in the name of their religions.

I don't class most Jewish people are anything other than people following their religion but in Israel there's still the trend to use vicious violence first, the difference being that is Islamic countries they use it daily against every one in the country, the way they punish their own is disgusting.

Your post is rubbish. Soldiers would never go against government. If what you said was true your lads wouldn't be in Afghanistan now killing people, betraying the will of the British people.

Its not as clear cut as that, the matter is a paradox. We (Brits) oppose the war but we support our troops no matter the circumstance.
