Except due to the way that Tempel-Tuttle passes by Earth it allows for the debris to remain densely packed. For example, when we passed through the Leonids in 2009, most of the debris was from Tempel-Tuttle's 1466 and 1533 passings.

Yes I did notice that in the JPL model. Will be interesting times one way or another.

So, what you are saying is that a scenario of debris hitting satalites and maybe knocking them out. Gee, there goes my tv, internet and phone services. I wonder what else is run by satilites, hmmm military communications. Thats it, NO T.V, lets riot for fun.
Like they do in canada when they loose a game. Go nuts and pillage what is next to them in anger.

There are plenty of satellites oribiting this planet, some more important to day to day life than others; take a look @ www.heavens-above.com...

A nice opensource tracker is available here > gpredict.oz9aec.net...

SO, there will be a direct loss of BIG BROTHER watching us. I wonder what will happen to the ICBM'S, they will loose tracking. linus, i think thats how you spell it. All military will be in panic, someone might launch and no one would know what hit them. I wonder what else would be effected. You would not get the weather alerts, no t.v. no hubble telescope, hmm what else.
