What part of that did NOT look like an airplane with landing lights on?

I would say this is an identified flying object known as a commercial jetliner.

Being told a dust storm is coming means nothing to those that don't live here and don't have experience with it. They probably thought is was something similar to a rain storm and had no idea how quickly these can overtake you.

When you get a warning of a dust storm and your flying you land immediately unless your like the crazy helicopter guys trying to get footage to increase their daredevil reputation.

I would suggest that the orbs actually caused the sandstorm to block out the mother ship.

Happens all the time

It is a plane.

It is unafraid because it is trying to outrun the sandstorm...christmas, it is obvious when it passes...

i think it looks edited, but i really don't know anymore

my gut said edited

......upon watching again...it's a plane, you can see the lights flashing

(not that aliens wouldn't know that trick)

Seem to what? There is no audio. SO what else would a cameraman do when filming a massive sandstorm & possible UFOs?

I'm guessing he would roll film

I think these are airplanes. As the first one exits the frame the running lights angle away and you can see more of a 'plane shape'. The second one seems to move in a curious path, but i think this has mostly to do with the way it moves in relation to the camera's movement.

Interestingly though, at around 6 PM this evening I was observing storm clouds over the east side of Tucson (roughly 100 miles south of Mesa) and I saw a white speck move across the sky in front of them. Definitely not a plane or helicopter, and easily dismissible as a child's balloon, white or shiny. It didn't move erratically, it just arced across the sky at a slow pace. It did catch my eye though, and could've been something else.

I doubt it was anything that's in this vid, but it's quite a coincidence.

Check this angle out starting at 19 seconds in if you doubt planes would get that close:

i see what you mean, 2 bright lights, and a wing span. That is the tell tell sign of an airplane, of course. Too bad I can't pause it at that same moment though. Can you guys? Get us a picture of that. The second UFO is still a mystery, although I'm not ruling out the 1st UFO just yet

This looks exactly like the planes in the first video. Which is what they are, of course.

If you pause at 54 seconds in of the CNN video, you can clearly make out the shape of the plane, wings and all. With lights on the tips of the wings, no less. Fox News even analyzes the plane here.

Also, they weren't hovering. They were flying towards the camera, which made it seem like they were not moving.

Ah hell, there goes that. Thanks for posting it. Thank god everyone on that plane and the plane itself is ok. That dust is no good to that engine.

The blinking light was on the tail of the plane. So you obviously wouldn't be able to see it from the CNN footage, as their camera was at a slighter lower altitude than the plane.

Seriously... looks man made and they called it a sand storm for kicks. I guess they want to get rid of people in Arizona.

It's a DUST storm, not a sand storm (less severe in urban areas. Google it.). If it were a sandstorm,we all would have been pissed off because the paint on our cars would have been blasted off, lol. Instead, we were just washing mud off of everything yesterday. Haha.

Such a lot of posts about 2 planes flying over the dust storm, the first one seems to abort its landing (and rightly so) but the first one is clearly a plane and the one at the back just proves its a couple of planes coming towards the camera (hence the hover look) that are in standard plane landing queues.

A lot of fuss over nothing...

I watched that video yesterday and at the time thought "I bet someone tries to say they were UFO's" and here we are

Everyone knows the real UFO's would create the dust storm to hide their landing...

Very strange weather patterns these days. Always lots going on in the Phoenix region. Maybe this was alien related. A possible screen thrown over our eyes to shield us from something going on in the sky?

It was definately a plane, come on now! This was a standard dust storm just like the other 20-30 were gonna get this summer. What boggles me is why this got so much media attention. Trust me, this is nothing new or strange here in AZ. The size was right on par for how dry its been lately, and they always seem very very tall like that. You can see em coming for miles away. Seems like they had a chance to strike some fear with all this strange weather and stuff. But no worries this is like clockwork here in AZ during monsoon season.
