I recently read an article in the medical journal Brain on the Hubris Syndrome by Lord David Owen et al. Lord Owen is a British Parliamentary Peer who was formerly a Doctor involved in Psychiatry.
These are the relevant articles:

Symptoms

• A narcissistic propensity to see one's world primarily as an arena in which to exercise power and seek glory

• A disproportionate concern with image and presentation

• A messianic manner

• Excessive confidence in own judgment and contempt for advice

• Exaggerated self-belief, bordering on omnipotence

• A belief that one is accountable solely to history or god

• Loss of contact with reality; often associated with progressive isolation

• Restlessness, recklessness and impulsiveness

What evidence is there that David Cameron, the British PM has such a disorder?

He has a personal vanity photographer paid for by the British taxpayer
www.telegraph.co.uk...

He told the electorate to hug a thug (hoodie in UK parlance) while not being in contact with street thugs due to his multi-millionaire status.
www.guardian.co.uk...

He has engaged in conflict with Libya without a long-term plan costing the UK taxpayer £ 1 billion by September 2011.
He dresses down his military commanders who advise him that the military is being over-stretched.
"I`ll do the talking and you do the fighting".
www.dailymail.co.uk...

It seems that the French President who has also engaged in conflict with Libya also sees it as a vote-winner when his polls are low.
www.guardian.co.uk...

Cameron has introduced National Health Service reforms "trying to save money" when the UK government expenditure on health is already below European levels. The UK Doctors union (BMA) rejected his revised plans as "we are being sold a respray job, two write-offs welded together, and we need to look at under the paintwork to see whats there"

The suspicion is that Cameron`s corporate connections will cherry pick the NHS.

Cameron`s vanity yielded to the parents of a missing child leading him to interefere with Police investigations.

Conclusion
There is some evidence that Cameron the UK Prime Minister is now living in his own world exercising power and seeking glory with over-confidence in his own judgement and ignoring sage advice. The fear is that if he has this disease he will progress to not listening to his own Cabinet of similarly elected Members of Parliament and make more serious errors of judgement.

Even Nick Clegg the Member of Parliament and leader of the Liberal Democrats who keeps him in power describes him as a "con-man".

The future
It is expected that Cameron will break up the NHS and sell the best parts to US corporations and will try his utmost to kill Gaddafi in order to reduce UK taxpayer`s money spent on the Libyan conflict. He will then make a believable apology for Gaddafi`s death (breaking UN resolutions). Cameron spent years in Public Relations prior to his political career.

All Heads of State/Prime-ministers, Presidents, Dictators and Royal are Narcissistic - that is how the world is in such a mess and that's what makes them evil people.

These are the kind of people that - had they not been leader and were among the common masses - they have no friends and end up living very lonely isolated lives.

It seems that 97% of all politicians suffer from Hubris Syndrome. 100% of U.S. Presidents, all Prime Ministers, Popes, Queens, Kings, CEO's, etc.

There are only a very small number of people who want to lead for the correct/moral/right reasons, namely, wanting to make the world, truly, a better place.
