A woman has been caught trying to sneak her common-law husband out of a Mexican prison in a suitcase following a conjugal visit. lol

You gotta wonder what somebody is in for that they would risk adding escape time onto their sentence in such a ridiculous way.

I'd be futily clawing my way out with bloody finger bones.

It's sentencing like this that turns non-crimes into death sentences either in prison or during the attempted arrest.

Extreme sentencing makes using deadly force to evade capture a viable option putting everyone at risk.

Maybe the guy has a long sheet with all sorts of offenses and this 20 is just the culmination of a life of poor decision making. The article doesnt say. It just says 20 years for weapons possession.

Starred you because that was exactly my thinking - any measure fair play to avoid such harsh sentencing (provided the guy had done nothing else).

Did no one notice another little point which might have made him rather anxious to get out of jail. His little Missus is only 19 - he's in there for 20 years - its a death knoll unless they give her 20 years also.

Why is this in Skunk Works anyway?

Still though.....I could look at the picture of him and attempt some kind of joke about his defence lawyers not having a case.

But I'll refrain.

that picture is not funny, its really sad.

when i was 20 i was arrested and charged with 7 felonies, all marijuana related. i was looking at 120 years and i had a 150,000 bail. in the end it was all dropped after sitting in jail for 122 days.

i know what that man in the suitcase was thinking....the time doesnt fit the crime and you only have 1 life.....

When I did, I was the only man there.
Its always the women, hoping for change....

There must be some crazy, kinky stuff that goes down at that prison during the typical conjugal visit if a suitcase that size doesn't immediately draw attention. I would love to see an itemized list of what was in the suitcase when she was granted access into the prison; surely they checked the bag, no?
