248 women raped in one night in Congo

What's going on in Congo is very disturbing, but the world is very silent about it. Over 248 women raped over night, you might as well legalize rape.

A doctor at Nakiele hospital said on Monday that 121 local women had been raped during the night of June 11-12 in the region the UN has called the world's “rape capital,” AFP reported.

This isn't a joke, nor is this a political slap, I did a 5 second researched and came across this video showing Mai Mai militia members explaining why they rape.



Mai Mai was created when US allies Rwanda and Uganda invaded Congo, the group was a militia group formed to defend Congo against the invasion, its main support came from the military of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Rapes were used as a weapon of war, as you can see the superstition described by the militiamen in the above video. They believed rape was required to defend Congo against the occupation.

Rwanda and Uganda started the destabilization of Congo and the consequences can be seen till today. The disturbing rape which is just being report, 248 in one night, this is the result, the product of the destabilization which the US and UK was very much silent about. Now the same two nations are attacking Libya in the name of protecting civilians, this doesn't make sense at all, and it wouldn't make sense to any rational human being.

I guess you can see why US and UK has been silent about this. Reports of CNDP being involved in illegal mining is coming out, the instability leads to such corruption, but who is benefiting from that corruption is the biggest suspect. It isn't just Rwanda and Uganda, we have to go all the way to the top of the pyramid.

CNDP which is the militia created by Rwanda in its attempt to invade Congo, this militia has also been involved in mass rapes, as recently one of its leaders Lt. Colonel Kibibi Mutware was sentenced to 20 years in prison for ordering mass rape in eastern Congo.

The odd thing is, US and UN sanction CNDP which was integrated in the Congolese military, the same rapists, the same mass murderers, now illegally mining Congolese resources. It goes to show, these conflicts are to cause instability, and through that instability steal resources. People have been saying this for a long time, but no one believes it, they think it is a conspiracy theory.

This isn't a conspiracy theory, these are conclusions derived from unpropagated reports. These reports are not propagated for a reason, to hide.

This is a great post, and I'm glad you brought it to ATS attention. I wish a few people here who are so fervently defending outrageous CTs would look around and apply that fervor to real-life horrors going on in the world.

The overall situation in Africa is so appalling - from the leadership to the corruption to the way it is (mis)used by the western world - it's hard to even know where to begin.

I think whats really sad is that it was 248 REPORTED rapes!!!!!!!!!
probably just the tip of the iceberg in actual numbers.

The scariest thing is how casual the guys are when talking about it, no remorse, no fear of the law or reprisals whatsoever. We live in a messed up world we do

There not the only ones that are good at raping people, the USA is good at it too as according to the FBI statistics.
2006 there were 92455 reported rapes in the USA which equates to 253 rapes a day.
2009 there were 89000 reported rapes in the USA which equates to 243 rapes a day.
And this doesn't include men being raped in US prisons by men.
So the americas are on par with the Congo concerning rapes per day..
Now thats scary.

Whats extremely disturbing is that, it seems that they have been bred to believe that what they are doing is okay because of some magic potion? what the hell is that about? Awesome post on bringing this kind of thing to light.

It is a belief they have somehow come to believe, but it wouldn't be surprising because such beliefs were spread in the border region of Pakistan/Afghanistan also, but in the name of Islam to destabilize Afghanistan.

False teachings were thought from young age, as young as 4. These books with false teachings are well available in the border region still.

I would'nt say the US and UK have ignored the Congo. In fact the Congo has the largest UN peacekeeping force in the world. The majority of the funds used to maintain this UN presence is provided by the US and UK.
