I do wish them good luck and hope for as few casualties on both sides as possible.

Luckily for the Polish people, they wont have to worry about their troops as they handed control of that area to the US recently.

we have no choice - our forces have no heavy equipment and air support so american and polish command decided to do that.It was right decision but I'm nor sure (I will check it) if our forces are not involved with the operation. Our performance in last april uprising wa really impressive. As I remember in Nassiryah or Karbala our soldiers killed about 100 mahdi insurgents including one high-ranked leader.

today we also launched with americans action in Karbala. Some insurgents were killed and above 10 detained

US military prepares to 'finish Moqtada's fight'

The US military says it is preparing for major assaults against Shiite Muslim militiamen in Iraq's central holy city of Najaf, alongside Iraqi security forces.

"Marines, US army soldiers and Iraqi national guardsmen continue joint training exercises in preparation for major assaults against enemy forces in the city of Najaf," the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) said.

Imo, this will only escalate the insurgency and uprising across Iraq.

I don't think so.We started some things and we have to finish them.We have to wipe mahdi militia out.I think that after this operation we have to clear Fallujah and "sunni triangle".As you see we made a progress. Now there is no cooperation bewtween anti-american forces.Sunnis didn't help Muktada. So the situation is better. The worst thing we can do is to let them create "local indepentend regions" like Fallujah.Americans defeat Saddam but we have to be true - coalition didn't defeat anti-american forces at that time. Many people thought that it can be avoided. They were wrong. We have to defeat fundalemnalists on the battlefield. And unfortunatelly - coalition should kill many insurgents because they have to know that any kind of fightwith US isn't possible..When US had to finish offensive in Fallujah insurgents shouted that they defeated America. This is the worst thing can happened.

After all - they finally attacked.

good luck
