The last 3 posts pretty much sums it up, and I used to be a storm spotter. We have had the same thing in Indiana

I get what you're saying about it permeating everywhere, not just the sky, but that happens all the time. If it's a black sky, everything below looks gray and gloomy. A pink sky reflects off everything pink and so on. Not trying to sound condescending

When a storm is heading our way, everything looks green, the telephone poles, the ground, the sky, everything. The sky can be an almost lime green or pale yellow. I've not ever taken pics, but should. There's a lot of green trees, hills here in BC and I think it reflects to cause this effect. I've only noticed this at my current home, lots more trees.

Must have been very cool to see!
