Well, guess I goofed on my intro thread (the New Madrid one, sorry)

I apparently, in my introductory thread of why I signed up here about my research and the New Madrid fault goofed. I supplied the links to all the reference material that could be clicked on, and was told I over-quoted. So, I either created a thread and should of been a short introductory. I know the 20 posts could be easy to achieve, but I just didnt want to roam around adding in replies just for the purpose to get my 20 posts.

Anyway, guess I goofed. I am not sure how I am suppose to add quote markers for my own words, unless I misunderstood. I gave proper credit to the appropriate source. And apparently, broke the rules, for making a thread, I guess. Guess thats what "over quoted" meant. So the thread was closed. But thank you for the 7 flags and the positive comments from everyone on my research. Maybe another time.

The problem was, the intro forum is for intro's only. You're only supposed to introduce yourself, anything else gets closed. Its an honest mistake and we won't hold it against you.

In fact, this allows me to flag your intro thread again to welcome you to ATS.

If you collect enough flags for posting awesome content, you won't have to look at those annoying ads anymore.

I guess I will just watch and learn.

But as far as me, I am a private researcher, self employed, live in a fly over state, worked 6 yrs for an organization that started with a D and ended with a S, used to own my own weather business and in the process of working on a tornado predicting formula, open minded, believe theory is not fact, but that doesnt mean fact cant be used in a theory. Dont mind being questioned, as that may of been something I didnt think of, but dont like to be ridiculed either. Just because I personally dont believe something doesnt mean it cant be true. And I like a person that has a passion for what they believe in, but not to the point of being close minded and arrogant. I do best in Q and A environment, so message boards all new to me. Its a whole new realm to me, I am just used to presenting something and going with it.

Hopefully that is better.

Got my 20 posts and moved to Fragile Earth section so thanks for the welcome everyone. I will be on discussion threads now. Will work my research projects one at a time or however it goes

I get nailed with this all the time and I don't really make posts. What I get spanked for is when I reply alot and always quote the entire post of the person instead of just hitting the reply button.

Not sure if that's what you did or not though.
