Most actually already do, if you read the manuals.

Yes, and medical warnings (take breaks, don't play if you suffer from epilepsy, don' play if you are nervous or easily shocked etc etc)

Granted I am no expert in psychology but do have a degree in common sense and can quite easily see that its not games that cause violence in people, it was already there to begin with.

By this logic anything could be considered addictive as long as there are a couple people who lack the self-control for healthy moderation, everything from television to chocolate.

Really? Addiction warning in manuals? I've never seen any sort of thing like that. I do know of the epilepsy, but I am almost certain there are no warning labels.

Many puzzle solving games involve violence, see Portal and Half-Life 2 for good examples. Hell, even Bioshock which you have criticized already has extensive puzzles in it, most identifiable in the hacking mini-game.

I've killed millions, perhaps billions, in the virtual realm. I've killed them with rifles, pistols, chainsaws, chemicals, viruses, bites, lasers, photons, resonance cascades, nanites, fists, hell this one time with medical equipment. Ironic.

I play Paintball, water guns, video games of all sorts of violence.. I've been fake-killing since I was 4, with my first water pistol.

How many people have I killed in real life? Zero

So shut the flip up and stop lying to yourself.

BTW, I just killed a 300,000 people a few moments ago when I blew up a star system.

Look at eve online. You can either play it casually, or spend a few hours on it, or spend a good week on it (or more) - ultimately nobody is forcing you to do anything.

I never said video games were the only thing scewed in this society. But trust me, they absolutely play a role in dumbing us down, and a number of negative things. Depression, this world not being good enough, addiction, violence, and these games absolutely cause aggressive behavoir and sadistic ideas. We are talking thousands and even tens of thousands of hours spent in FAKE worlds only to be asleep in this one. WAKE UP.

Are you telling me it is 100% impossible for someone to play Second life, engage in sexual acts with a minor (even the image of a minor) , and not act on it in real life because second life wasn't enough satisfaction anymore?

Actually Video games helped me pass all my history courses in School. Video games gave me unheard of survival knowledge that I can use any day and in any situation. Video games also lead me to Christ, as the paradigm of existence and what is real lead me to question many things.

Video games also lead me to unprecedented knowledge. I can tell you how to build a warp ship, and how to build a sweet armor system for it too. I can tell you the benefits of electro-magnetic precision in motors that can make gas obsolete.

Video games also led to my career choice, as the glimmering virtual cities inevitably lead to my desire of design.


I'd go so far to say that video games are pretty much why I'm smarter than you, Stronger than you, more able to survive than you, have better morals than you, and why you are jealous of us all.

God's fun ain't he? Making what you hate the paradigm of good Christians.
