the reason why they are disbanding is because all of their members had their information leaked on the internet (name, address, phone, etc).

their fault for being dumb asses and actually revealing this information even over their irc.

LulzSec Site (Still Active)

LulzSec Home - love the theme song ( The Love Boat
)

They also supposedly leaked username and pass info for the Infragard.gov website which is some type of partnership with the FBI for infrastructure protection.

I have to admit that, at first, I was highly sceptical of one of the sites that was revealing this information. I thought that the blog may have been set-up by LulzSec members who posted information of people who they had had an online feud with, to get these people into trouble.

With the LulzSec members' identities also being corroborated by ''respected'' hackers, then I feel that the information released probably does confirm the true identities of most of the members.

They were probably just a bunch of semi-skilled ''hackers'' who got drunk on the elixir of power and attention which they had gained through the media exposure of their antics.

They bit off more than they could chew, and they'll just have to hope that they have no directly traceable information that may incriminate them.

isn't LOLz a one man group? So how can it dissolve?

There was nothing remotely interesting or subversive which they leaked.

I mean, the locations and map coordinates of UK ATM machines ?

I could find all of that out thorugh a quick google search.

I am not in the "scene" , but I did see their info. People say there was an insider who just got fed up with them and released all his logs. Some say they were hacked but I can't see how a hacker can gain entrance to a private , invite only irc channel.

old news already a thread over here,

www.abovetopsecret.com...

They are basically hiding under rocks till the police come to get them, then they will be squealing like little piggies an all their little hacker buddies.

Wow, that surprises me that you think this way about them. They're going against the NWO, Amerivan gov (who've lied to us for ages) and other sources who've screwed us over- and that's all you can say? Have you ever seen "V for Vendetta"?
That is what they're trying to portray, and trust me, we're winning- as much as you don't like it.

DENY IGNORANCE.

Are they? Or are they doing the digital equivalent of vandalism, creating a mess and then running away for someone else to clean up? V for Vendetta is a work of fiction. Would you like your credit card details stolen or at risk of being stolen?

One of the sites he is alleged to have set up denial of service on is the Serious organised crime agency...... you think that's big and clever?

I can imagine if most of them are teenagers, then the arrest and imminent long-term incarceration of that poor kid in England, could well have spooked them.

Particularly if that poor damned kid in England has any sort of email contact or anything for the rest of the group anywhere on his computers that will be getting taken apart right now by the police.

I feel terribly sorry for him, he's going to get the book thrown at him, whether he was guilty or not. Just because the police have to be seen to be doing something about all this hacking.

Why is this person a poor kid? If guilty, why does he deserve sympathy? Sorry, I'm genuinely confused, if I broke in your house and took what wasn't mine to take and got caught, would I be a poor kid?

They say that they're disbanding, when in all truth they're going to re-group under a new name and start again sometime before September.

That's exactly what I said either saturday or sunday in the Social Issues section of ATS. There's no way they'd continue as LulzSec and will likely have a new name.

Because I don't have any confidence that the police will have collared the right person.
