North Carolina, Michigan and 33 other states sterilized thousands of people until 1974

Most of you already know about the eugenics in the US. The Brits and the Americans invented this in the 1800s. Hitler made it ``known``...

Anyway, back then it was open... and people figured out it was bad, so now they are doing it covertly, using GMO foods, vaccines, etc...

Dark Past: Michigan sterilized more than 3,000 people from early 1900s to 1970s

Michigan was among the 35 states that allowed sterilization of people considered unfit to reproduce.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the North Carolina government has a legislative proposal to compensate sterilized people with $20,000 each.

Victims have said they were lied to about the procedure. About 7,600 people in North Carolina were sterilized over five decades, and about 3,000 of those people are still alive, according to CNN.

Michigan shares in the eugenics horror often associated with Nazis, as more than 3,000 residents were involuntarily sterilized, according to a January 2009 document from the Michigan Supreme Court Historical Society.

Michigan repealed the sterilization law in 1974, the historical society reported.

Who knows how many million right now are sterile.

Your title says North Carolina but your post refers to both Michigan and North Carolina...why single out NC for the title?...which is it?

Basing soley on what I saw while stationed in NC they didnt sterilize enough....same could be said for Michigan,based on what Detroit has dissolved into....

I wonder what "unfit to reproduce"means. What was the criteria for their selection?
The article mentions feeble minded in one case, so maybe it was all persons below a certain IQ level?


When I was growing up there was a retarded married couple who ended up having a little girl. I'm sure they were good parents, best to their ability. I wonder though how much she did not learn as a child though, how much more she ended up having to learn, than the average teenager, going out into the world on their own.

You know how they can manipulate those IQs tests...

They also sterilized people based on your other family members actions.

Your brother murders someone? Your family carries the ``murder`` gene... and boom, the entire family sterilized. And people believed that BS.

i have family from all over america....but i find it funny they did pick states that shouldnt reproduce i.e. michigan..south carolina...hahah maybe theyre onto something.....
