Hmmm maybe they have some inside knowledge? Lots of unknown army experiments maybe they created zombies in a lab somewhere like in Resident Evil and they're just anticipating the experiments escaping or the thing that causes the zombie-ism to get into the main population? Either way I'd take it seriously.
