Dailymail UK Thread On Chemtrails: How Jet Trails Block Out The Sunshine

No, this thread is about chemtrails/contrails.


I don't have any objection to you starting a thread about me if you want to, though....just keep it clean

And keep it free of debunkers who might engage in tom foolery to defame my good name.

Having spent many hours trying to get to sleep [seams to be the norm over the last year]i ran this report through my head and it dawned on me how important it really was and i would like to share it with you all.
When you look at the report and like many of us we see it as a badly written propaganda so lets keep that in mind.

1. i live in the uk and as such i know the papers and what kind of person will read each type of paper.

2. the mail is what i would call a middle class paper read by a more educated reader and a older reader this point is important because this group is targeted more when we have an election because they are more likely to vote.

3.because the readers are older they will have been here longer and would have spent more time looking up at the sky compared to a younger person.

so with that in mind we can assume that this article was aimed at a set group of the uk population so lets put aside the article itself and concentrate on the comments part instead.
The amount of comments was 242 before they decided to stop people from adding further comments and i also noticed when reading through that 8 posters complained that there first posts where not added to the comment list.
So we have nearly 250 comments on this story so i suggest that this maybe a survey.

250 posts would give great amount's of information on how many people have noticed what is going on,what they think is going on and how they feel about it.

Now i will finish by saying that on many occasions i have entered the words chemtrail's and persistent contrail's in to the search box on all papers websites and only one [express] has come up with any related news story's so this again shows how strange this article is and the reason why they have released it now.

The article is about CONTRAILS not chemtrails.. and the idea is logical, if there were enough contrail cover in the sky it would have the effect if blotting out the sun, but that would take some SERIOUS air traffic to accomplish..

I think you are confusing the Daily Mail with The Times or The Guardian.

The Mail is for knee jerk, mouth, foaming reactionary people scared of their own shadow, immigrants and gays.

I don't agree with you at all if you where talking about the sun star or mirror reader then i would agree with you but the mail is not read by undereducated people its price alone shows that its target is people of a higher pay bracket. you are entitled to your opinion but i think your statement to be wrong and highly offensive to anyone who may read that paper.
Also may i ask how you have come to that assumption do you live here in the uk?

Yes I live in England and The Mail is the most offensive rag out there. They were Nazi supporters pre WWII, when owned by Lord Rothermore a friend and supporter of Hitler and Mussolini. It ran with articles like 'Hurrah for the Blackshirts' and talked about Hitlers sturdy little Nazis.

Nowadays it spends most of its time running scare stories about how immigrants are destroying our proud nation and how bad gays are. I see it as changing little since its Nazi days.

You mention The Sun et al, well now the Suns most offensive columnist, RIchard Littlejohn is the Mails star prize.

In the not too distant past they ran the headlines

'THEY'VE STOLEN ALL OUR JOBS'


'BBC PUTS MUSLIMS BEFORE YOU!'

'The Asian lady set to wipe out British butterflies '

In fact there is a whole website with a busy forum set up and dedicated to The Daily Mails offensive and dishonest approach to journalism.

This type of article on the effects of contrails on the climate has been published for decades. Papers are always printing stories about contrails. Here's some recent examples.

Hi there, neutral bystander, but needed to respond to part of your post. I'm not sure where you get the demographics for the Daily Mail from, and if I understand correctly this is the internet site for the newspaper that people are commenting on, not the paper version. My reason for pointing it out is that it's entirely possible that a different demographic uses the online version. From what I've read in this thread about some of the comments posted on the DM site in response to the article, if you did a search on the word 'chemtrail' that article would have a good chance of popping up.

I'm not sure of the relevance of 'older people would have would have spent more time looking up at the sky actually signifies - there were less planes! Fewer flights and fewer airports! Sorry, I don't understand what that brings into play, in fact if anything it creates a false reference point.

I also don't understand the piece about 'why they have released it now'... Released what? The actual article doesn't in any way support or from what I can see even hint at 'chemtrails', it's those that have posted comments that have done that.

Not sure it's even relevant, but here's a site that has newspaper demographics by age and social class.

The Daily Mail does tend older, and less working class than the Sun. But again I don't think it's at all meaningful, it's just another popular science article on contrails. That's all.

It is certainly bought by older and less working class people, it is not the typical builders van tabloid. It is mostly bought by people that live in faceless suburbs, never mix with anyone outside their own identikit demographic and are terrified of anything different to them.

okay i will take on board that you all feel that the mail is a far right paper maybe that is true i can't really comment as i don't read any of those tabloids as there is no real news in them.
For this reason i cannot debate the story's they print and i also take the point that this was on-line news rather than printed but if you wanted a quick result for your survey then putting the article on-line makes sense how ever the point of my post has been overlooked and i was not asking you about what you thought of the paper or in fact the article as such so i will repost the part that i wanted your feed back on.

Or maybe it is because lots of Chemtrail sites linked to the article.

google search chemtrail Daily Mail and you will see lots and lots of chemtrails sites linking to the article saying it is lies.

No surprise then that a lot of chemtrailers have posted on the comments.

It's not a good representation of the population if there were a lot of links from 'chemtrail' sites. Then mostly 'chemmies' would be visiting the dailymails article.

If I went to a train station and did a survey asking how many people used the train, that is not a good survey. If the article was linked from a lot of chemtrail websites, then a lot of the comments will be from people interested in chemtrails.

A good survey on Chemtrails would be if I went into the street and asked a selection of random people about chemtrails.

In fact ATS did exactly that.
