There's an inherent flaw in these claims - for them to be demonstrated as real, a subject would have to recall some detail in great depth that is not
yet known to historians. Then that detail would have to be discovered by historians after the fact to corroborate their claim. Until that happens,
there is no way to ensure these are actual memories. If that can happen, then yes - more study is definitely needed.
And you're right - the media doesn't touch these people because they do seem like nutters. And until we get that evidence, it's a pretty fair
description.
