WASHINGTON (AFP) – The United States will seek to hunt down and kill new Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri just as it did his predecessor Osama bin Laden, the top US military officer said Thursday.

"He and his organization are still threatening us, and as we did both seek to capture and kill -- and succeed in killing -- bin Laden, we certainly will do the same thing with Zawahiri."

Look, don't get me wrong, I want to eliminate any terror threat to the US. But... are we, is the USA, crossing a legal line now. Was Osama the only "OKAY" one for the 911 attacks? Him being the leader and all.

What proof/evidence do we have that the new dude has actually committed any crimes against the USA. Seriously. Made some speeches but... actual crimes? Maybe now that he is officially named Number One-yes?

Lets put the shoe on the other foot. Lets say the terrorist someday/somehow obtain a weapon and they use it to take out our leader... in their minds-justified. Because we knocked out theirs arguement.

Can we at least have charges brought against him in a court of law, via the right process and make sure this is all legal... when we double tap him

It doesnt matter. The WAR AGAINT TERROR was aimed at removing the Terrorist Organizations (Major ones) from power. They are aiming at the Organization and if that means removing the leadership at that point in time then certainly Senor Zawahiri will be next.

What difference does it make one way or the other. He is not wanted in his home country of Egypt just the way other terrorists are/were.

If you bring charges against him you then can't just kill him.
You'd have to try to capture him and bring him to justice.

Does that bottom photo look majorly photoshopped to anyone else?

And yeah, we were supposed to stop this assassination stuff a long time ago.

More Illegal Assassination Missions,

Now what constitutes as 'Terror Attacks' would it be bombing/killing civilians?

i would believe that is an act of 'Terror' as it's 'Terrorizing Innocent Civilians'

so would then that be just cause for another country to take out the 'Leader' of these terror attacks?

Well by my count we have killed or injured the #2 about 3 or 4 times now. I have to ask....is he Jesus or Felix the cat?

This is how propaganda works, we are going to tell you how well we are doing with the "War on Terror" so people will continue to support it.

umm... as I understand it Al-Qaeda is an umbrella name for a loosly allied group of organisations and cells... how can they have a leader, I mean yeah sure I can understand that they may have several people who carry alot of weight floating around but none of them are difinative leaders or anything its not like being the pope were you get a big hat that proves you are the leader.

The US will not recognize, defer to, or even care what legal line is crossed. All of the B.S. international laws are flat ignored by the superpowers. "Legal line".....that really is funny if you think about it. I look forward to hearing of his demise personally.

I'm sure "Ayman" if that's his real name is American born. And what about Anwar Al-lackey? Forthood, underwear bomber, broadway bomber, granted most of those were horrible failures, but fort hood was a massacre on an army base and yet Anwar is not the number 1 guy? What does it take to be the number 1 guy of Kaos I mean al qaeda?

After 10 years of war... it's/their all the same.

Get rid of them....(is the mentality)

the US was breaking laws when they decided to kill an unarmed bin laden but obviously they will not be punished..
not to mention the other countless war crimes they have commited over the years

WHAT IS THE POINT OF LAWS IF THEY ONLY APPLY TO ONE SIDE??

OBVIOUSLY PHOTOSHOPED
just like many other photos shown by the media regarding bin laden

He was always considered to be "Extremely Armed and Dangerous" and should never be accosted or confronted without arms, heavy arms. No one knew going in weather or not he was armed to the "T" or if he had the building wired to explode or have a suicide vest sitting nearby. These are just simply things The US Navy Seals do not question nor second guess. This was a highly successful campaign as there was no damage nor destruction to the surrounding neighbourhood and all death was limited to just the compound. The Seals are trained to "get in, do the deed, and get out". The fact they landed and were back in the air in about 15 mins tells me unequivocally that this operation was a resounding success.

In previously issued videos always showed him with a fully loaded and cocked AK-47 at his side and at the ready, this is one of the contingencies they were planning for. It was HIS AK47.

What would you like to see us do? End the conflicts and quagmire this has become all while leaving these douchewads alone or are we to do something about it?

Lets have a look...

Yep, you can clearly see that the teacups have been substituted for an AK47!

Ill tell you why, theres clearly a glass of milk there for the tea's, you can spot it down the bottom left of the picture!

Im so tired of this terrorism nonsense that spews from the TV and MSM outlets.

I really actually thought they were going to do something interesting with the next boogeyman.

With regards to the legal line, I think it was crossed back in 9/11 and probably before that too.
