Harmless and beautiful and simply amazing.

I was lucky enough to see one crossing the wake of my boat years ago. It was larger than my boat, its head the size of a dinner table. Even though I knew we were in no danger my blood ran cold for a moment. To see them schooling like that would be... I don't know what to say.

its simply breathtaking phage and i would have loved to have seen one that close up .

I find such a large gathering a bit odd.
I wonder if this is an annual thing for centuries or if it's a randomly new occurrence?

The only worry I would have around such a large number of marine animals of this size would be running into one with the boats. You would have to be very careful to navigate around them and avoid harming them or capsizing your ride.

wow from one of the aerial shots they look like little guppies and i think they are all the same age

Yeah well they get lots bigger than forty feet. Try more than sixty feet as a record. As, as for harmlessness, they can kill you in different accidental ways but there is only one kind of dead so care is to be taken.

Beautiful! They sure must be hungry to be swarming together in one place. Wonder if there is enough food in the ocean for them considering how "humans" continue to harvest more than consumed.

still upset with that

but i was spear fishing off some bridges and the next thing i know

there is a monster right behind me

i nearly drowned at first but then realized what it was

i must have been in the water with it for about an hour or so

marine patrol showed up said i was molesting wildlife and had to leave

or face 5 years in jail and $50000 in fines

i left but it was amazing

much cooler than swimming with dolphins

I can only imagine what it was like when the whale shark pulled up near you.
