Have you read that great catastrophist Mr Velikovsky? "Worlds in Collision" is an amazing work. I don't hold with every theory of his, but I think he got so much right.

He was totally witch hunted for that book by the establishment scientists at the time. Now his ideas are not so bizarre! He was a genius at finding patterns in the world myths, like an Einstein of mythology!

I really wish it would just happen and get it over with!!!!
I can honestly say that the prophets and the prophesies are becoming tiresome and unequivocally old hand. Please, let me know when you have a more specific date, until then I will be going about my daily business and living the way I want.

Here's what i say.... earthquakes and volcanos have been happening everywhere in the world every day and night since it was created. no big deal.

as for the Quoran excerpt, dont care, not a christian or a muslim. Theres a big Volcano which erupts in Lord of the Rings though at the end , I noticed.

Well, I can tell you what will happen next.
1. Mass movement of paranoid individuals on ATS (Not talking about you) will begin fear mongering about the next earthquake, tsunami, tornado, volcano,comet, solar flare, Nuclear war, martial, law antichrist, extraterrestrial invasion, or some such. Then after that has been completed we will create a flood of threads bitching about why people make threads about doom and gloom and failed prophecies.

However....That being said, here is what I think.
I think we are about to get F****D up beyond all recognition, one way or another.
I really think all these bunkers and the building of them en mass is what you would call "The sign". But since I don't have a ticket to ride that ark I guess Ill stick to posting in ATS threads till the bitter and bloody freaking end.

If some cataclysmic event happens tomorrow and we all die it makes no odds, because we are all gona die anyway.it just means that a load of us are gona die together. Probably very quickly , which i think is great, much better than getting cancer and wasting away over months or years which is going to happen to 1 out of 3 people anyway.

In fact Coronery heart disease and cancer have killed more people in the western world in the last 100 years than any of the apocalyptic events that every one is running around trying to prophesize could.

But anyway no point worrying yourself about things that are beyond your control.

The 1815 eruption is rated 7 on the Volcanic Explosivity Index, the only such eruption since the Lake Taupo eruption in about 180 AD.

The explosion was heard on Sumatra island (more than 2,000 km (1,200 mi) away). Heavy volcanic ash falls were observed as far away as Borneo, Sulawesi, Java and Maluku islands.

The eruption created global climate anomalies that included the phenomenon known as "volcanic winter": 1816 became known as the "Year Without a Summer" because of the effect on North American and European weather. Agricultural crops failed and livestock died in much of the Northern Hemisphere, resulting in the worst famine of the 19th century.[6]

Everyone should read this book! It has definitely happened before, and it will surely happen again. It is all about a close encounter with a comet, and what all the ancient texts known say about it.

And now we have a comet coming. For the first time in recorded history, a long period comet is going to pass directly between the Earth and the Sun, and bathe the earth with its blazing tail. Remember, the tail always points directly away from the Sun.

Thanks for this link brothers I will enjoy his book. I keep hitting the same number, 3600 or so years, and so do others. Is this involved?

Speaking of patterns:
I have been visiting several of our local landscape features over 200m in height recently (Southern England). Most of the info signs date the (commonly found at this height) earthworks as over 3000 years old.
It is looking more and more to me like the sea has fairly regularly been well inland, but not over this height. (200m) Where the ground is that high, it appears in many places that the sea has been forced around the high points features, leaving very steep escarpments in the (hypothetical) lee of the water from the logical entry direction, while smoothing out everything else below this level into gently rolling hills.

Im not buying a book...can you tell us what is in store? Also do you have any links about this that others could read who can't buy the book.

For the most part, I can't put much heart into a religious writing from any religious affiliation or cult. There has been so many prediction's of probable repeating history scenario's that when the time comes, they will all take credit for the event being of their creator,divine one or deity.
I personally see something happening, such as the event of the poster that had mentioned Tambora super volcano, now that is a fact based assumption to be concerned about.
There have been some really good writing's and author's of those writing's being called lunatic's for their perceptive and intuitive ideologies and theoretical personification's of such matters. It is slowly coming to fruition though that these author's are being more and more accepted for their theoretical thinking and out of the box fringe epiphenomena predictions and assumption's.
The thing about discussing these kinds of things is, we all know history has repeated itself over and over, but some of these event's man has knowledge of the history of human nature and have thwarted such repeat scenario's from reproducing themselves as a venture of some kind of humanitarian act for the populous of the world. The thing we have to keep in mind is that we are not familiar with our planets "Absolute" history of events and thus we are uneducated for the onslaughts for something never seen before as these event's will be a practical fact of our coexistence with mother nature.
Everything we know about our planets distant past is assumption based with physical evidence. We are just trying to put the pieces together and unfortunately, we have this thing called human error, which displays itself every day of every moment of our thought perception's and intuitive speculation.

"Doom and Gloom, Doom and Gloom, Doom and Gloom......." Why fret, nothing we can do but watch the show.

It is We Who have created you: why will ye not witness the Truth?

Cause if 'Ye' is meaning 'You' then who is 'We' ?

If 'We' is the deity then its plural which is back to Paganism and not just one God.

Religion does my head in... that's why I generally avoid it at all costs.

Velikovsky on the other hand, I can follow his ideas.
