Well, I am honoured to be a recent ATS member and among such wise company. I hail from Australia, am nearing 30 and have been lurking here for almost
a year now. I have read threads that are mind provoking in ways that a while ago I never thought possible! The mainstream media has lost my trust in a
big way and I think ATS, read critically, is the best source of knowledge on the web.
I guess I attribute a big part of my awakening to Wikileaks as I have been questioning things for a long time and had a lot of suspicions confirmed
with the cables. Especially enthralling to me was Assange’s comments about UFOs and the subsequent release of information that I believe is designed
to assimilate the possibility of ET into the general consciousness (ie: rather than a full disclosure, I think the possibility will be accepted
gradually).
Onto more ‘earthly’ matters; I consider myself an anticapitalist first and foremost and am a big believer in the political economy theory.
Chomsky’s Manufacturing of Consent had a big effect on me, as have my academic studies in the media, culture and politics fields. I am getting fed
up with how unfair the world is and the constant excuse of ‘its just business’ and general apathy. I believe we are all ‘one’ and it makes me
physically sick to see the way we treat our planet and each other. I am becoming very interested in metaphysics as well.
Somewhat ironically, I see ATS as the new world order, in that the minds on the site seem have two things in common; the ability to question things
and the desire for change, and so it seems to be one of the best vehicles for revolution. Being a member now, I look forward to spending far too much
time on here and getting to know you all better and to many great discussions. Peace and light all
Cheers
