I watched a documentary yesterday and reading between the lines, it has blown my mind

It has to be the ancient worlds biggest “climate change” scam!

Essentially, archaeologists have discovered a site containing over 250 pyramids in Northern Peru.
All the (flat topped) pyramids were built with mud bricks – they were all within close proximity to each other – and they were huge! – some 50 m high and 200m wide
I have put the details here:-
Mysterywatch link or if that link doesn’t work….
Quazen link
They were all built between 700 AD and 1100 AD (each one taking over 2000 people one year to construct) generations devoted lifetimes of hard labour doing nothing else but building pyramids

On top of each one of the pyramid – this unknown civilization housed a “living God” who they showered with lavish food, worshipped and sacrificed men, women and children for – so that they could drink there blood for nourishment……

The pay off (assumed as there are no written records) was that they were protected from the devastating effects of El Nino – the seasonal Peruvian storms.

The civilization disappeared – possibly due to devastation by a storm.

There is a lesson here somewhere! At the very least a damn good mystery!

I'm struggling here to understand the "Climate Change" theme.

Many Civilisations disappeared most notably the Mayans. Are you saying the same happened to them? Most academics believe cannibalism was the result of their demise, so who's to say the same didn't happen to these guys?

Just thinking of the number of people involved in the construction of 250 pyramids alone is mind boggling. Were it to fight El Nino it has to occur as some point that 'living Gods' are about as much use as an umbrella; surely there has to be something considerably more to this somewhat bizarre behaviour. Good OP though

seems like when ever they start practicing human sacrifice...they become doomed!...nearly every civilisation that started this practice...soon fell

freaky...but rightly so!

peace

p.s. cute how all three posters so far, have picked three completly different views from your OP...lol

Very cool,l and one I hadn't heard of (I learn new stuff all the time on ATS!) This would be the Sican culture, and it's pretty darn interesting. Their art is so much like... and yet so UNalike the other art of the region. Most intriguing is their statement that they arrived on rafts of balsa wood.

en.wikipedia.org...

Much to study there!
