Yeah, yeah, yeah... I know... But it's not like I need the experience to give my opinion. I just need knowledge! Right? Sorry if I disappointed you...

Also maybe it might be curiosity that has strayed this cat to this thread.

edit on 11-6-2011 by Jepic because: (no reason given)

I would say in this case you definitely do need the experience if you are going to try to tell everyone what is and isn't possible for their bodies to achieve.
So go on. Happy experiencing.

Judging by the conversation you 2 just had, I'd say he might have had his first experience today. lol

OH deary me!!!
I think you might be right! Well, then I guess I can be proud of my contribution to this thread.

I'm laughing so hard I just had my vodka spit out thru my nose. Thanx!

I haven't had such a good laugh as I have in this thread for a long time. lol

Glad to light up some peoples days.

Look I don't really need experience to know that a wet dream is different than the real deal. But I want to emphasise that I'm just talking about me. I'm not talking for you. We've settled that already.

A least for me whether its:

a. The real deal w/ lady friend
b. Self Induced
or
c. Through a dream

I can at least tell that in myself, the mechanism of release itself" is exactly the same.

The differences in retrospect between a, b, and c seem to be how much awareness was involved in the act. The dream, was very little aware, self induced more so, but with a friend everything seems heightened .

Still the mechanism and its release is always the same for all 3.

I was wondering about this myself the other day, decided to do some research on it, and found this article.

I posted on it earlier in ATS on whether this was possible and MODS deleted the thread.

Hopefully this is much more tastefully done, being that its been studied by an accredited by a respected academic facility.

Also it seems its easier for women to do than for men. Still about 1 in a thousand males has this ability as well.

This is old news in one way, if not to the Rutgers investigators.

Back in California at the Eslian (SP?) Institue in the sixties or perhaps a bit later, they were into investigating sex in various ways. I recall reading about a class of very open-minded students and the instructor. The demonstraton was that an orgasm did not need physical stimulation. The way this was done is that a willing young lady lay on a table and produced such without touching herself.

Some guys may suspect that she was doing what many gals do and was faking it. But the demo seemed valid.

Actually, when a guy has a nocturnal emission (wet dread) is that not by thought along?

Hmmm....seems science is digging into what tantra practitioners have known for years. People forget the most powerful sexual organ they have is their brain...not anything between their legs. Its not until you damn near leave your "body" behind that the real pleasure begins. The genital orgasm is only stage one.....it gets way better

Well, I'm back to ATS after a long recess.

Here's my usual response: Oh, so all you ninnys decide to bring something up once a credited University does a tad bit of purely left brained research. Bloody hell, this # is common knowledge and has been for some time... Until the massive drop in consciousness, that is.

Orgasm is simply an energetic surge throughout the body. I can relax and feel/direct my energy internally and be brought to orgasm by will alone, it's quite easy. Of course, meditation helped a bit. It's important to realize that orgamismness can and should be your natural state... duh... Winning...

Women can go much deeper into such things by their nature alone, by that I mean having 8 orgasms a second for hours of time. Here's Shantam Nityama, the Tantric Mongoose, who speaks some on such topics: www.nityama.com...

I want to say, just because you can 'think' doesn't mean jack. Scientific research is like holding a candle to the sun that is intuition, and although logic can be a training wheel, it will never walk you through the door of self realization... and to the wonders beyond...

Our skin is our largest body organ, and quite ignoring the obvious errogenous area, nothing quite compares to the sensual touch of another person, and of skin against skin. An orgasm is an easy, common-place, thing to achieve, and it satisfies an itch. A loving and sensual, sexual relationship quite another which satisfies a myriad of needs; physically, neurologically and emotionally.

There is a lot to be said about quality over quantity.

Allow me to share this with you. I was once on the anti-depressant, Zoloft. One evening while grading papers, I suddenly had the strong sensation of arousal. I'm thinking, wtf is that? Within seconds I had an orgasm!! I reported this incident to my physician and he told me that most people on Zoloft report sexual dysfunction, but in rare instances, Zoloft can cause a "spontaneous" orgasm. So, his last words to me were "good for you!"

As was already said, this is indeed common for young boys during sleep. Altough achieving an orgasm by conscious thought alone when awake, that is quite a feat..

Whether we like it or not life will produce the seed for reproduction.
It is not the thought that makes this happen it is life itself.
It is energy.

Anyone seen the film American Pie?
He manages it twice on camera. Is it disbelieved as a myth or is it every mans fear?
The visual image stimulates. If too much 'thought' is put in it could produce the opposite effect.
Impotence.

Actually, wet dreams have been linked to changing pressure on the prostate which induces the emission. Also if you pay attention you'll note that everytime you wake up from a wet dream you have an erection. That's NOT thought alone. If you can have a wet dream when it's limp...

...then you deserve some amount of praise.

Gotta love such studies where they waste money on investigating something that is already more or less common sense.

I can do it, been doing it for years. It's a more intense orgasm than through manual stimulation, but takes longer to achieve. My sister, on the other hand, can't do it.
They could have saved themselves some time and trouble just by taking a poll. A lot of people can do this.

Interesting.. source?

According to wiki, wet dreams can happen even without erection.

en.wikipedia.org...

Also, even if it is with erection, I dont see why it could not be caused by thought alone. Thought is enough to cause an erection.
