Massive Coronal Mass Ejection

I hope this is the correct area to stick this new thread in.

I came across a video taken by the SOHO of a coronal mass ejection. This is the largest one I've ever seen. I'm just saying, but perhaps this will show some people that CEG's happen, but will not necessarily cause
mass communication/electrical problems.

You are confusing a CME with a solar flare. The article you linked notes the distinction.

A lot of these threads about CME's and Solar flares ,starting to think they are normal occurrences.Tell me they are not ,I like living on the edge of total doom.

well you come to the right website...total doom is the mantra here on ATS, but at least there are people employed and making money off of it. in fact, i think it's probably one of the biggest growth industries for the next 2 years, considering we have WAY, WAY, more fear-mongering to go for the 2012 end-of-the-world businesses.
