As shadow said, God knows all possible outcomes.

The fallacy of this discussion is the assumption that ours is the only reality. I'll let you study "Many Worlds Quantum Theory" on your own.

But to try to put it into perspective, God sees the "present" in which you woke up and had cereal for breakfast, as well as the "present" in which you woke up and had bacon and eggs for breakfast, as well as the "present" in which you slept in until noon and had lunch.

I would agree with your statment but as I lean toward the many worlds theory myself......BUT that is not what the bible OR the org. religions atate.


They state that THIS is the ONLY possible outcome.

In other words God knew I was having a McGriddle.....LOL that morning and that was the ONLY possible thing that I could have I could not have decided to have the sausage and eggs at the last minute.

My breakfast was preordained since before there was a universe.

This is something I have a problem with

To the best of my knowledge, the bible doesn't teach neither predestination nor free will directly. And it definately doesn't state one way or another the existance or non-existance of alternate realities.

I don't know about most orginized religions, but the Catholic Church officially recognizes predestination and free will. However, they have no official teachings concerning how the two can coexist. It is one of the "mysteries" which frustrated me when I was much younger.

If you ask me, there are no mysteries. There are only questions without a proper answer.

If you can accept God as "all knowing", man having free will, and accept "Many World Quantum Theory" then the combination of the three is not a stretch of the imagination, and it removes the "mystery" from the doctrine.

How? It still leaves the fact that we cannot deverge from the path how does other worlds change ANYTHING?

From which path are you saying we cannot diverge-- the path in which we ate cereal this morning, the path in which we ate bacon and eggs, or the path in which we grabbed a Mcmuffin from McD's?

Paths diverge all the time and God sees them all.

Foreknoweldge and freewill are not mutually exclusive.
