Heaven is a Real Place, and This Author May Know Where It Is!

One question I have about heaven...

All my relatives and my ancestors are not and were not Christian. According to Christians, you can't go to heaven unless you accept Jesus Christ as your savior right? So if I'm the only one in heaven and every one of my family members are in hell, how can I be happy at that place all by myself? Isn't that just me being selfish?

First, in response to your statement that pretty much everyone in that business believes the power is being generated by a black hole in the center, I take exception to. In the center of the Andromeda Galaxy, for instance, the nearest galaxy to ours, and therefore the easiest to study, we have seen a huge bubble of energy at its center and not a black hole. The first article I referenced from the New York Times, states that scientist have discovered two huge energy bubble at the center of our galaxy, not a black hole as you suggest. The other article by Dr. Hilton you sound like you are disregarding because the Dr. is a Mormon. That seems a little closed-minded. Many Mormons are some of the most educated people on the planet, and to disregard all their theories just because they're Mormon seems unwise.

I disregard the theories of anyone who knows that their beliefs are based upon plagiarism, false translations, and contradiction, and yet still believe them. All theories coming from someone with THAT open of a mind are suspect. For your reference: Pearl of Great Price

I think it is important to keep and open mind, which I try to. I am not suggesting that this the only possible explanation, but it is something to think about. And judging from the responses I've received so far, I think most people are close-minded to the idea before they even look into it.

I was raised a Mormon, only I was taught Kolob was in the center of the Universe, not the Milky Way. I no longer subscribe to that faith but remain a Christian. I've rejected anything other than the teaching of Jesus and trying to follow his example. The rest is just Human nonsense in my humble opinion. Yes there is a God and Jesus is real, They are not however Mormon, Catholic, Protestant or any other man invented denomination. We have two duties and only two duties. Love God and our fellow Human's. The rest is just a waste of time and leads to bad behavior.

No, I don't believe that the matter jets you're seeing in the photos are God's flatus being lit by a cosmic match. If you think it's a reasonable hypothesis to debate, let's start off with something more observable - I've got a pair of rocks that repel tigers, if you tap them together. God gave them to me. The angel Moroni came to me in a dream and pointed out that the magic tiger rocks were buried in my back garden. I can prove to you that they work by statistics showing the dearth of tiger attacks in the Florida panhandle. Wake up, sheeple!

I'm disregarding it for the reasons I stated in the post - he's a religious person given to writing LDS-centric (Mormonic?) interpretations of history and science, with religious reasons used in his arguments, which draw religious conclusions about physics.

It's sort of the same thing that gives people serious beliefs about Jesus riding dinosaurs, or the "big head scientist" riding the Mother Plane to wipe out the Ice People.

Every time there is some new celestial discovery some people want to attribute it to God. I couldn't find it but there is a huge giant void discovered in the Universe and 'where God is' came up about that, maybe someone else remembers that. The Higgs Boson is another one. BTW that is a mathematical representation of our galaxy, there is no way man could have imaged that.

There can't simply be a 'place' for God, because God is everywhere and in everything within and around those that believe.

You know, That may be true. I'm not trying to be a skeptic, but there are billions of galaxies. So maybe
heaven is at the center of each galaxie for the the inhabitants of each galaxie? Just to be equal.

All said, that is way to complicated for me. No doubt about it though, we all will find out after our
departure from here.

In the Mormon belief system true male believers will become a God of their own universe. Its what separates Orthodox Christianity from Mormonism. Its not too big of a surprise that he would use the book of mormon as a base to extrapolate from to come to scientific conclusions peppered with other LDS views. Scientist do this all the time with their own theories based on their own a priori world view.

Good thing Newton came around when he did. If he had come up in the scientific climate of today we would have no inverse square law. Einstein would have no giants shoulders to stand on either considering some 80-90 percent of his writings were biblical commentaries and alchemical theories "precursor to actual chemistry". All of his writings would of been tossed out of the window simply for wanting to explore what to him was Gods creation....

Its being shouted from the roof tops for religion to stay out of science. However when strict unforgiving materialistic, matter plus time plus chance where things simply pop into being self creating self referencing becomes as dogmatic and intrusive as any religion has ever been on finding the truth of the universe.

Do just a little bit of reading on the history of science and religion and you will see they have been best friends up to about 150 years ago. The world has become a much better civilized place since then ....erm... cough

Pretty far out idea not buying it OP but interesting twist.

I was in the Mormon church up until age 15. I was babtised in the church but I never shared the views of the church and I still don't. There is only one Bible and the Book Of Mormon is written by a false prophet. To say all Christians except Mormons would be condemed to Hell is ludacris! It's a form of brain washing. That's not to say Mormons aren't good people because they are. There are many reasons why the Mormon church can be discounted.
