A Gallup poll indicates that Egyptians are against US aid to Egypt, that aid which supposedly supports Democracy, but the conditions of the aid is
still kept secret.
"Egyptians oppose the U.S. sending aid to political groups in their country. This is particularly the case among those who look to the U.S. as
a political example. While 75% of the general public opposes U.S. aid to political groups, 88% of Egyptians who see the U.S. as a political model for
their country say the same."

The poll shows that over 75% of Egyptians are against the aid money.
To understand why, we have to look at some other polls, here are some polls from 2008:

It shows that the majority believe US is not helping the region's economic conditions.

The above poll shows that it isn't just Egyptians who are skeptical of US intentions in their country and in the region.

This could also effect their beliefs towards the US, because of the Palestinian situation. As you can see more than half pay a great deal of attention
to Palestinian situation, and US unjustified support for Israel would easily sway alot of opinions.

The above poll suggests that the vast majority believe US is not pro-Democracy, and not encouraging the establishment of such a system, even though US
claims it is doing that.

The above poll suggests that more than 75% believe US is controlling and interfering in their country's politics, and that US doesn't want the people
of the said nation to choose their own destiny or political future.
US claims that these aids are pro-Democracy (although the conditions are kept secret), but Egyptians have the complete opposite belief. They not only
believe that US has no intention of supporting Democracy in Egypt, but also believe US is stopping true Democracy from forming in Egypt, which
explains why they are against these funds.
The mistrust is huge, but is the mistrust justified?
