Good for Thatcher!

In all the videos I've seen of Palin she doesn't once make any sense. She seems to talk and talk circles around things she doesn't understand. Like a little girl playing politics...

Still, she's gorgeous though, hot as hell. Gotta give her that.

Agree. One HOT MILF

I think she needs to be seasoned a bit with speeches or learn from Obama Teleprompting

I have this problem, I stand up for people when I feel they are being treated unfairly, would I vote for her?
I don't know yet,

You must remember Obama has quite a few problems with out his teleprompter as well,

That seems a little unfair.

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/68a4d69e53b7.jpg[/atsimg]

You yourself admit that there is footage of her not doing so well without one. Call it edited and controlled but they would not exist if they did not happen. So do you feel bad picking on Obama for using a teleprompter sometimes when Palin also uses a teleprompter sometimes?
I have more pictures if you need them. I am just curious if you really feel bad when people are being treated unfairly or you just get mad when people talk about Palin in a negative way. I see a big difference.

More on topic, do you have a good reasone that she would want to meet with Thatcher? Given the defense is that illness precludes her from even knowing that Palin was shoed away to begin with, why does Palin want to bother this poor women in such a time?

Just to point out the obvious... our current Teleprompter-in-Chief had zero foreign experience, zero experience running a for-profit business, and a voting record consisting of "present". Just sayin'.

The best thing Sarah Palin supporters can do for Obama is try to make that case that, she is not really all that good, but he really sucks. That strategy works great!

Who had to go head to head with the oil companies ?

Just think about it, who is running the show, who are the global elite, and who would they hate to see in power?

So you support making private business share their profits with the citizens of the state?
That sure sounds like socialism to me.

I have to say, if you hate her because she is a conservative, please read this,

The Tragedy of Sarah Palin

At first, her team tried to win the Republicans over. But it became clear this wasn’t going to happen. So Palin did something that would be hard to imagine from her today: she pivoted to the Democrats. “We sat down with her and said, ‘If you want to get something passed, it’ll have to be much stronger,’” Les Gara, a liberal House member, told me. “And to give her credit, she did what she needed to get a bill passed.”

In the end, Palin essentially grafted the Democrats’ proposal onto her own. What she signed into law went well beyond her original proposal: ACES imposes a higher base tax rate than its predecessor on oil profits. But the really significant part has been that the tax rate rises much sooner and more steeply as oil prices climb—the part Democrats pushed for. The tax is assessed monthly, rather than annually, to better capture price spikes, of which there have been many. ACES also makes it harder for companies to claim tax credits for cleaning up spills caused by their own negligence, as some had done under the old regime.

Isnt that amazing? Current administration seems to do just that. One works hard all their life only to be expected to share the fruits of labor with the one's that expect freebies.

I hate freeloaders and socialists. Socialism is for the lazy. Capitalism is for the hard working (physical labor or using brains).

I can't really see a valid reason why Palin would want to meet Thatcher...
Although I am sure there are plenty of Tories that would want to meet her..

I have a variety of opinions some conservative others liberal, I think we live in a country that should feed the hungry, no one should be without medical care, or homeless, but I believe those that are able should work, and we are running out of options.

Whats wrong with socialism? It works just as well as the capitalism system (sometimes better), look at Scandinavia where they have high taxes and socialist public services, they're alot healthier and alot happier than most people in the USA and don't have to constantly wail about revolution and taking their country back when trying to forment a fascade like Sarah Palin and Obama do at their rallies.

My argument is not over the validity of socialism. It is the fact that Palin herself calls Obama a socialist as part of her reasoning to why he is destroying the country. Her supporters think she is the thing to save us from Obama and Socialism. It is a main theme of hers. She can hardly brag about the socialism she implemented and be sincere about that criticism of Obama.

I would not take the time in this thread to discuss whether or not I think welfare is good or bad either. I would simply point out that another main theme is the anti-welfare, do for yourself, own boot straps, yadda yadda.Sarah Palin’s Alaska is a welfare state

My concern lies with Sarah either being a complete liar or incapable of understanding reality. It has to be one of the two. Arguing the benefits or negatives of socialism was never my point. I said nothing about it one way or the other. Sarah on the other hand, has. Get it?

I can't imagin why Palin would think she was important enought to meet M.T.

Oh. I remember...

Date Line: 6/14/10 2:43 PM EDT

Sarah Palin visiting Margaret Thatcher

Palin writes: “I have received an invitation for a visit to London, and part of that invitation included the offer of arranging a meeting between myself and one of my political heroines, the ‘Iron Lady,’ Margaret Thatcher.”

The news of a possible trip was first reported by London’s Daily Mail, which wrote on Sunday that Thatcher has agreed to the visit.

Source: www.politico.com...

The Daily Mail seems all messed up on this.

Whatever, M.T never said she wouldn't meet Palin nor did she say she was "Nuts" (publically). It was "an Ally" of M.T. (the mentally damaged person).

Come on folks. Relax. Wait for something better than this. geeze.... Showing your angst maybe?

Nice slap in the face. Exactly what she deserved. She's already done enough to strengthen the stereotype idea people across the world have of Americans and she should make no illusions that she of any political importance or ever will be.

and what stereotype would that be?

Maybe I am sick of what other counties think.

Maybe that's the root of your problem, maybe your country should start listening to other countries and start digging yourself out of your hole instead of foolishly thinking America is the best country in the world.

I was never a fan of Thatcher but i'm glad she snubbed the mad woman Palin. Although I wouldn't put it past America to vote her in, considering your backlog of loonies.

Are you suggesting that TDM got the story wrong because you have a different story from TDM? Didn't you just prove them unreliable?
Do you suppose MT is too ill to be aware of what is being said in her name? Is she incapable of rebutting what is being reported as her words by proxy?

I didn't do anything... the Daily did.

Wait, I'm sorry< I did. I reminded everyone that Palin was planning since last year and M.T. had agreed to it.

Saying anymore than that would distort what I posted.

Don't you ever sleep? You must be bucking for a job at the newly formed unit at the White House to go the offensive on anything that may put Obama in a dim light.

I don't think you can convince me of... well anything.. but I truly do enjoy your postings. Have a good day

From an article back in 2010:

British tabloid the Daily Mail first broke news of Palin's visit to the UK on Sunday, reporting that representatives for the ex-Alaska governor had reached out to Thatcher and asked "for a meeting as part of a bid to enhance her claim to be the 'heir to Ronald Reagan' and prepare to challenge Mr Obama."

Oh, Lord!

Source

Meanwhile, Palin relayed news of her upcoming trip to the UK with a slightly different twist. When the ex-governor took to Facebook to address the matter Monday, she signaled that her arrangement to meet with Thatcher arose from an invitation extended by the former Prime Minister:

So, Palin wasn't actually invited to meet Thatcher (but said she was) and the Dialy Mail are the only ones who claim this meeting was Ok'd by Thatcher... seems it never was really meant to happen.

You asked us to believe a Daily Mail article proves that another Daily Mail article is wrong. Your point being that according to the Daily Mail, the Daily Mail is wrong. You asked me to believe that by your source, The Daily Mail.

Wait, I'm sorry< I did. I reminded everyone that Palin was planning since last year and M.T. had agreed to it.

What does this have to do with Obama? It gets a little tiring being associated with an Obama worshipper because I understand Palin uses teleprompters. No, I do not ever sleep. Is that important?

I don't think you can convince me of... well anything.. but I truly do enjoy your postings. Have a good day

Your mind is already made up about everything. I ask questions quite often because I assume that what I think might be based on a lack of information. You just spill answers at people that usually soidify what I already felt or thought. I am trying to learn and to understand. If Palin supporters cannot defend Palin that says a lot. When they resort to attacking Obama or associating me with Obama and attacking me for it, they appear weak. When they attack my sleeping habits they look funny.

I do not understand the type of support Palin gets from a few of you but I want to. I guess you would rather just sit there with your mindset and try to attack mine. Thanks for that, whatever that is.

I was joking a bit... trying to be nice. Relax for pete's sake.

I think what your problem is that you write something you think is profound or deserves some type of response and when you don't get it you think you are some how wronged. Guess what... maybe people don't think your post warrants a reply... for whatever reason. Go figure. (not to fret... it usually happens with most noobs to ATS)

So, all that being said. Go to bed.
See, light heartness. I am not that evil. Really I am not.

As far as people defending Palin.. what needs defending? Now, about how I feel about her. Since you are a newer member, you may have not seen my posting about her. But, here is one that sums up it best-written some time ago and I haven't changed..
