Please take note of this before hemp and all its benefits will be forever banned from our lives.

Here are some facts:

· Deaths per year resulting from alcohol: 100,000
· Deaths per year resulting from tobacco: 430,000
· Deaths per year resulting from aspirin: 180- 1000
· Deaths per year resulting from legal drugs: 106,000
· Deaths that have ever occurred in direct result of Cannabis: 0 (that’s right zero).

· Farming 6% of the continental U.S. acreage with biomass crops (Hemp) would provide all of America’s Energy needs.
· Biomass can be converted into methane, methanol, or gasoline (which could eliminate our ties with the Middle East) at a cost comparable to petroleum and hemp is much better for the environment.
· Hemp fuel burns clean. Petroleum causes acid rain due to sulfur pollution.
· The use of Hemp Fuel does not contribute to global warming (if this is even real).

Yes it is but when hemp threatens the profits of petrochemical. They preferred the growing of cotton because that plant needed fertiliser, insecticides etc naughty hemp grows like a weed. I seem to remember something also about the release of Asprin which 'replaced' the use of cannabis for numerous ailments. We all know now just how dangerous asprin is. A member of my family died of stomach cancer which a nurse said was due to her continual use of asprin - the doctor declined to comment!!!

I would like to just point out that Industrial Hemp has NO THC content, so any moves for across the board banning of Industrial Hemp due to its use as a recreational drug are non-starters! Or should that read "should have been non-starters"

UNBAN HEMP! The planet needs it NOW!

The banning of Hemp/Cannabis was due to political/economic pressure by the oil/pharma giants!

Yeah, not the same at all.

There is no reason for Hemp to be banned and in fact it isn't in many parts of the World. Can't get high from it and it is one of the most useful plants on Earth.

But because of it being similar in appearance to Marijuana, it has had a long hard struggle back to the mainstream acceptance.

Even with that, they are not completely identical. Some strains might be as before Hydro-cultivation of Marijuana, it was grown outdoors and looked very close to the same...tall and thin. Since then, because of humans cloning and shaping to suit indoor growth, they are completely different in looks. Unless of course you find the original outdoor wild strain.

Marijuana plants and hemp plants have different appearances and are harvested differently. Marijuana plants tend to be short and bushy, while hemp plants can have stalks that are 25 feet high! Unlike marijuana, hemp has many uses. Over 25,000 products can be manufactured from hemp, including hair conditioner, diapers, insulation, carpets, paper, and perfume. Things like rope made out of hemp never rot like traditional rope. Hemp as a food is one of the most easily absorbed by the body, and can help you live a healthier and happier life.

Yet in the year 2011, we still have laws against the most natural and useful plant there is.

I have used Hemp products for years, mostly lotions
and clothing. The fabric is so comfortable, attractive
and durable. You haven't had socks until you get
a pair made of hemp. My friend has hemp rope and
he says it outlast any robe he ever had. A lot of things
looks like something else, I can't understand the
delay in making hemp products legal anywhere
and everywhere.
