For the 12th day in a row, protesters continue to make their voices heard in Athens. There are reports of 50,000 to 500,000 (likely closer to the former) protesting in Syntagma Square this evening, against the government program of austerity measures, and the current political situation.
Protesters have been camped out here all week, similar to the situation in Spain in the run up to their regional elections.
Whether or not they'll have any impact on the implementation of the country's latest

Stop buying crap from mega-corporations that rape the resources of everyone on Earth. Oh and they also apply slavery tactics in places like Malaysia and China (and many many other locations). And how much pollution do their illegal dumping practices create? How many accidents have happened? How many nations are being destroyed?
Do you really wanna support that? Stop buying that crap.
The true vote is with our $, if you pay your local farmers market for food, you vote for local fresh produce.
If you pay your local shopping market for food, you vote for international globalization (EG: Slavery and Pollution and War etc).
Stop buying so much gas. Conserve a little more. Try to find ways to stop using it, or alternatives.
Don't use so much electricity. Walk somewhere or ride a bike next time if it's nearby.
The only real way to protest is with your $. You have to stop buying their garbage.
That will stop this crap right in it's tracks. Oh it will be rough sure, but it will work. (Granted enough people followed the idea - critical mass).
