These are the most dispicable people on this planet and I assure you that more societies need to worry less about the opinion other people will have if their country accepts the "eye for an eye" punishment.

To begin the torture they should make the criminal sit through 7 consecutive days of Dharma and Greg.

Not saying that I feel sorry for the offender. What I'm saying is that the reparation of pouring acid in the face of your attacker constitutes unusual punishment. I think the constitution says punishments have to be standardized regardless of the crime. If you beat someone half to death or burn down their house the method of punishment has to be the same.

Sure an eye for an eye is good.. Those guys hanging totally deserved what they got.

However, what that Photo dosen't show is the dead little girls that were probably put to death for the terrible crime of being raped by those four sickos in the first place.....!!

Shira law is a pathetic example of a system that dosen't work for anyone...!!

You would be cool about it if he was 17?

I may or may not be cool with it as a father, but yes, I am of the opinion that such sex should be legal, when the age difference is less than about 4 years.

Really? 17 and 13 then, you are comfortable with that? I would find it at the very least disturbing but more to the point criminal.

I completely agree with this. As a youth I was exposed to an individual who took advantage of my trust and befriended me, then destroyed the remnants of my innocence and happiness. I had a problem with alcohol until about 3 years ago and it is only because of the people I currently surround myself with that I have almost completely forgotten what occurred.

I would personally pay to see things like this occur within the confines of my country's capital. Heck I would even make sure that I threw a stone or two at the people just to make them feel more pain before the final curtain. I truly wish that people would wake up and realize correction in these situations just does not work.

In all honesty for those who are sinister to the point where they wish to harm the innocent, the ultimate penalty must be given.

You are missing the point here. The poster is not saying that they are innocent, the poster is saying that this style of justice, has the potential of getting out of hand and turning into a witch hunt...where, the next thing you know, they have you, and you did nothing wrong.

Yes, really. There are plenty of developed countries where this is legal now. As for 17 and 13, lets just say that 3 year difference is a good limit in my opinion, altough I may accept even that.

The purpose of such age laws should not be to criminalize sex among teenagers. Like it or not, it is an age where hormones are naturaly at the highest, and they will have sex, regardless of what many overprotective parents or conservative people in general think.

So OP, you support the eye-for-an-eye justice system... well I guess your supporting such a harsh model of punishment implies a perfect confidence that these justice systems are always of fair trial and impeccable verdict... but in reality, every day people are convicted of crimes they did not commit and sentenced punishment despite being innocent..especially in countries full of corruption like Iran... oh man, the righteousness of people... how would you like it if you or a family member were sentenced to be raped or castrated because you were framed or unfairly convicted? Probably wouldn't be so confident in your system then...

I agree, capital punishment. Innocent people get caught up in the judicial system all the time I am sure but the outcome is worth it in my mind. If I had it my way I would vote all child abusers/murderers/rapers/terrorists etc. to be used for scientific research. We could send them to Mars, the bottom of the ocean, test cancer cures on them, see the effects of new found tech. on them...Anyone think that's a good idea or is it just me?

Until a innocent family member of yours is caught up in that "perfect" system.

Then I would like to see you defending "the outcome is worth the lives of the innocent".

im all for forgiveness and understanding, but for things such as this, slice off their eye lids, leave them to go insane, then slowly torture them to death, it sounds disturbing i know but, i think punishment for such acts as child rape should be 10x that of what the act its self is considered to be wrong, someone can accidentally kill someone, even fatally injure someone play fighting, but you can not accidentally or mistakenly rape a child or anyone for that matter, locking them away in a cage where they are fed three times a day, given academic options and things such as that is almost a damn reward, i think that is messed up, theres innocent people living on the street that cant eat three times a day and have no schooling or future, but lets make sure the murderers and rapists have a decent education and food to eat.
and eye for an eye should be the law, but with prejudice and bias being a flaw of human nature, its hard to get a 100% true ruling without video evidence of an incident, even evidence can be fabricated, and justice can be awarded to the highest bidder, its sad but true, not in all cases but its fact, so i think this hanging of the child rapists is both a shame, in a sense that people would commit such an act, but good in a sense that judgment was passed on those who deserved it, their deaths wont take back what happened, but at least they wont ever do such things to other children or any other human beings...the opinion is different for people with mental disabilities though, the fact is they just don't know some times

Eh, I still stand by my idea. Any method can be abused, it could turn political or whatever just like anything else. And, I didn't say revoke the trial process...innocent until proven guilty.

YES, that's a great idea.
These people need to be treated like lab rats for scientific research, killing them is just sweeping the problem under the rug. They can be tortured while contributing something to society at the same time.

If someone raped me I would recover and go after them with a baseball bat. I'd beat the s**t out of them and then I'd walk away. Then I'd continue to live my life and wouldn't dwell on the fact that I got my ass packed by some weirdo. People who kill themselves over something like this were probably already suicidal and it was convenient to blame it on the raping.

It's probably the fact that I'm a dude, but I just don't see how being f***ed without consent would be all that emotionally scarring. Maybe they should just try to enjoy it. If some big buff chick forced herself on me, I'd just grin and bear it. I'd even laugh about it with my friends after the fact. If I were a chick I probably wouldn't laugh about it after, but I wouldn't let it affect my way of life...other than maybe I wouldn't be out in dark alleyways at 2 in the morning.

People probably won't like this response, but if you were raped get over it and don't kill yourself. If it makes you feel better, beat the crap out of the offender with a baseball bat and then go your separate ways.

Most people will probably see you as ignorant. I'm sort of with you here, though. I at least know what I think you're trying to say. I asked this question earlier in the thread, but got no response: For those of you who are so full of hatred for rapists (child and adult alike), why is rape such a bad thing? There are plenty of indirect and direct ways of emotionally and physically abusing someone, yet these things aren't seen to be as terrible as rape. Back to your response Michelangelo, I essentially agree. Yeah, rape is bad. Yeah, it would hurt. Yeah, it could be damaging physically and undoubtedly mentally and emotionally. But why is it considered such a scar that it's almost 'impossible' to get over? My butt would hurt for a while, sure. Same goes with a female's ladyparts I imagine. But so what? Once it's over, it's over. Unless you contract an incurable disease or something I just don't understand why people see it as one of the worst, if not the worst, things someone can do to someone else. I think it's far more destructive and damaging to raise a child as an ignorant religious nut who believes killing others who don't believe the same thing as you will somehow make you a martyr or get you to heaven.
