Historical Missile Test Photos

Hey there everyone,

About 15 years ago a friend game me a binder of old missile test photos from the late 50's and early 60's. I started scanning them in year and lost steam but just came across them while cleaning out my computer and figured I'd share them with the community at large as a thank you for all of the entertainment, false scares and ponderous things I've gotten from you all over the years. They're mainly of Pershing and Titan tests but there's a cool one of the Mercury capsule (number 6) in there too. Here is the first one I scanned:

Cool pictures, number 15 is probably my favorite out of all of them.

Also, in picture 11, the guy on the bottom row second from the far left looks a lot like that guy from SNL who played as MacGruber.

Awesome pictures! #15 is my favorite as well. I'm new so not sure if you can favorite posts individually or not but if so you get one.

#15 is pretty cool. I'm curious as to who the people are in #11 - the document the center guy is looking at says it's the Second Space Conference but I've been unable to find out any info on that.
