My thoughts here are, this is a flawed study when they target protestants as the opposite of atheist's. I have witnessed many flawed studies that are rigged to prove a point of view, many. I am neither an atheist, protestant nor belong to any organized religion, therefore I must have a third type of brain????

I think I can do a study that shows that my leanings result in even a bigger brain than the other two presented here, anyhow, I need to purchase extra large hats as others won't fit my cranium. This is a start, all the extra large hat people, let's get together as we must be superior in some way.

Facts are not creative and take up less space in the mind. Religious beliefs are just that, beliefs. Beliefs require several more thought processes of the mind to convince themselves that what they believe is real. Facts are straight line proven thoughts that have a conclusion. Beliefs are circular thoughts that go round and round requiring more brain activity, actually never proved or disproved.

Studies Show Being Born Again Causes Brain Loss

Source

The study, which examined the hippocampus region of the brain, found that Protestants who did not have a "born again" experience had significantly more gray matter than either those who reported a life-changing religious experience, Catholics, or unaffiliated older adults.

Be very careful if you choose to be born again. You don't want to loose that superiority complex.

Wow, does this mean Protestants are smarter than atheists?

No.

It's in reference to the elderly and deals with brain atrophy, not original brain mass. Learn to read beyond the first few sentences. This is also not necessarily indicative of total populations nor is it definitive as the study itself is not sampling all that many people.

And again, everyone in the study is over 58. This says nothing about atheists under the age of 58. This says nothing about theists under the age of 58.

Read the damn study people.

Haha.. Nah I think you trade that extra brain in for the superiority complex.
A superiority complex and a bumper sticker.

What are Atheists ignorant of? Man made dogma? So?

Just because my conclusion for reality isn't "GOD" doesn't make me ignorant, it doesn't make me less moral and it doesn't mean my brain is any smaller because of one simple lack of belief.

Atheists realise that everyone is as ignorant as them, everyone is as naive, no one knows the answers to what lies beyond existence, what the cause is, if there is a cause. no one knows.

This thread is derpety derp de dibbily derp de herp de herpety derp de derp.

By bigger brains, I would assume bigger in mass rather than in volume. This can be attributed to all the pigswill that religious brainwashing tends to fill a lot of people's heads with.
