"It was a command and control bunker", my source insisted, adding that since they'd hit it, the 'chatter' coming from it had stopped.
It all sounded a bit odd - colleagues who have recently been in Brega tell me its a ghost town. The fighting has pushed all civilians out. So why would a group of Imams be there?

Here's why:
Publicly, the regime has vehemently attacked Nato for bombing sites it variously describe as either “civilian, or non-military”. Libyan government spokesman, Moussa Ibrahim, described as “murderous and barbaric” the strike on the Brega guest house which killed the Imams.
But on Saturday a Dutch engineer, Freek Landmeter, claimed he had built a large bunker for the Gaddafi regime underneath the site in 1988. Landmeter provided GPS co-ordinates for the project which matched those provided by the regime on Friday for the guest house.

Now why would they allow Imams to stay there? Hmm that's a toughy.

how can it be a peace conferance when those imams are stating that all the non-believers have to die... and sharia law must be applied everywhere?
Not much peace to talk about when your end game is all of them dead or enslaved to your god....
Its like israel peace talks..... Israel CANT have peace talks either... because their religion states that everyone has to hate them and then god will come and murder all the unbelievers..edit on 29-5-2011 by Wertdagf because: (no reason given)
