I agree with Gil Scott-Heron, the revolution won’t be televised. Our media is totally owned by the elites. They won’t show us mass demonstration by the people. Heck! The media didn’t even bother to cover much of the Wisconsin Madison protest against Governor Walker’s anti-union legislation. The media will only try to make us feel as if nothing revolutionary is happening but we will know by looking at all the people around us and see what is going on and join the movement. Our government is just representatives chosen to serve us the people who are the real government. How dare they use our tax money to employ law enforcers against us, we will not tolerate a government that isn’t heeding our demands. We are the revolution, the revolution won’t be televised, but it will be lived.

The catchphrase, what that was all about, “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised,” that was about the fact that the first change that takes place is in your mind. You have to change your mind before you change the way you live and the way you move. So when we said that “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised,” we were saying that the thing that’s gonna change people is something that no one will ever be able to capture on film. It will just be something that you see, and all of a sudden you realize I’m on the wrong page, or I’m on the right page but I’m on the wrong note, and I’ve got to get in sync with everyone else to understand what’s happening in this country.

Somebody got you fooled, there was plenty of press at Ruby Ridge as well as Waco.
It will be televised, but the revolutionaries will be called terrorist, or enemy of the state, or insurgent, or suspect, or....the list goes on.
The revolution is on tv everyday, just some people do not care to see beyond the words of a nicely groomed man or woman speaking big words.

Seconded...Sadly, not many today know who he was, or what/how he tried to make people back in the day aware of, black or white. He will be missed by those who remember. Anybody else interested, just do a search and learn. He was an important forerunner of cultural awareness.

The revolution will not be televised for what it is you mean. The MSM at the governments behest will spin the "revolution" as a terrorist attack perpetrated by crazy extremists, and america will turn a blind eye to it and with a sigh of relief will say "whew! were glad the federal government locked those crazy terrorists up!". Whereupon which these "revolutionaries" shall be sent to prison, where they will scream "i'm innocent!" while everyone laughs at the convicts proclaiming they didn't do it. This is exactly how it will go. This is exactly how the government spun the "Ruby Ridge Massacre" in Montana.
