Thanks for posting this! I've wanted to watch this movie since it was mentioned in one of my classes last week, but I keep forgetting to look it up.
The majority of our species, unfortunately, has a tendency to disregard the future. That's why people smoke cigarettes and use other harmful drugs,
waste precious nonrenewable resources, and use nuclear energy sources that produce incredibly toxic waste. We do things now without considering the
negative affects of these actions on our own future lives, or the lives of unborn generations. An important question to ask when storing nuclear
waste is, "How do we communicate to people who have completely forgotten our culture and tell them that this stuff is dangerous?" People (or some
other intelligent life form) ten thousand years from now aren't going to know what the radiation symbol means. They'll probably find out pretty
quickly, at the expense of someone's life.
Edit: I'd like to add that I don't advocate the use of nuclear power, but I recognize that powerful interests do support its use, and sadly, it'll
probably be around for a while.
I'm looking forward to watching this movie, star and flag for you!
