Joplin, Missouri (CNN) -- Missouri released a list Thursday of 232 people missing since a tornado tore through the city of Joplin on Sunday.
The list includes people for whom missing persons reports have been filled out, said Andrea Spillars, deputy director of the Missouri Department of Public Safety.
"We know that there are individuals on that list that are deceased," Spillars said. Experts will work with families to identify the dead. Fingerprints, medical records and DNA will be used, she said.
The current fatality count is at 125, Spillars said.
She also called for anyone who can help locate missing people to call in and provide any information they have.
