Skype - Help Please. (Is it down just for me or for you people too)?

Afternoon People,

I tried to open Skype and got an error code. Tried again and got it again.

Sooo, I went to the internet (Firefox user here) and NO Skype site will open - I get the 'problem loading' error.

So, just checking - if it's just me or you too.

If it's just me I'll update with more info, but, for the moment all my virus scans, etc came up clean.

Added Note: I'm in Europe so it would be good to hear from you people here too!

try this site:

Down for just me?

put in the site url, click "just me" and it will attempt to contact the site as a proxy sever to let you know if it's local or global. (no idea where that site is located though.)

i just checked via that site and skype.com is indeed down.

I was just messing with mine trying to get it to log in.
I thought it was on my end but I guess not.

It's not just you. I rebooted and tried to log in, but I get nada.

SKYNET IS DOWN? its the robots soon they will attack their enemies,US.

So, Skype is still down and... Wow...
I guess that what happens when you sell to Microsoft...

Freaks...
And now of course they're going to CHARGE for premium services.
I knew Skpye was just too good to be true...

And now? The NEW download? Will NOT work with Firefox - and of course the Windows download? First thing you see is the choice to pay for PREMIUM service, or Skype basic.
