Any of you ever own a zx80 Sinclair, the forerunner to the spectrum.
I had a mate back then who had one, and used to go on-line with a contraption called "Pres tel".

Btw, you're story has holes...
I personally was on the Internet using a 14.4k modem..

If you were using a 56k modem, the "Internet" as we know it today was around for about 15+ years at the time of development...

Auctually, it was something like 386mps.... the 14.4k was the most expensive at the time and people used to drop their jaws at how fast it was, but for the $350 I guess you got what you paid for. Eventually I did wait with my parents for the 56k to come out because at the time the 14.4k was too expensive and prices and technology was changing quick so we purchased the 56k later on, but our original was like I said, something like 386mps.
