OK, so about a year ago, Sandy Berger stole copies of some classified documents from the National Archives in Washington, DC. We didn't get the news until a year later, though, for political reasons.

But, that doesn't change the fact that, whether he did it a year ago or a month ago, he stole classified documents from the National Archives. Who did he give them to? Who did he sell them to? If he sold them to agents from another country, what country? These are important questions that must be answered.

No matter your political persuasion, this is a serious crime. Is he in jail yet? He should be in a federal prison right now, consulting his lawyer before he goes on trial for treason and theft of classified documents.

But where is he now, and what is he doing? News on him just evaporated after the story initally broke in the press -- which is another oddity in itself. What's going on here?

You won''t here anything about it because there is no story. He was cleared of all charges. Funny how that doesn't get splashed all over the news. Free Republic It was all just media hype. Some are still trying to make a story out of it, but you can only go so far on a lie. It's just a part of the neo con campaign machine. Like a shotgun, just shoot out a bunch of fake stories and non-issues, most will be scattered by the winds of truth, but some, unfortunately, will be remembered. Not for the lies they were, but for the truth they weren't.

How did you find that out? I couldn't find any updated information on Berger with a Google search.

You know, both the Republicans and the Democrats like to spread false rumors just to see which ones stick. It's one of the oldest games in politics...
