I was wrong. I had opposed the war on Iraq in my radio program, on television and in my regular columns -- and I participated in demonstrations against it in Japan. But a visit to relatives in Baghdad radically changed my mind.

A few weeks ago, I traveled to Iraq with supplies for our Church and family. This was my first visit ever to the land of my forefathers. The first order of business was to attend Church. During a simple meal for peace activists after the service, an older man sounded me out carefully.

Finally he felt free to talk: "There is something you should know -- we didn't want to be here tonight. When the priest asked us to gather for a Peace Service, we said we didn't want to come because we don't want peace. WE WANT THE WAR TO COME."

" We want the war to come ".......YO ! The anti-war, any comment ? Don't tell me, he's a CIA agent, right ?

Agree with you there U-P!

Many of my friends have emailed me and said that the majority of the smaller villages in Iraq want war as they suffer the most when the fighting begins!

Cant they just send in some napalm and blow the crap out of Sadam Hussains palace?

Kinda drunk! Going to be ill in morning!

We would like to heard that kinds of news in the media.
I bet we can still dreaming. The medias cannot say that Saddam is wrong and the allied have right. Their leftist propaganda machine would have a nervous break down !!!!!!!!!!

I don't agree with this, I've seen a report of a lot of Iraqi's that said they didn't want America to start this war. Only in the last 24 fours 140 civilains were killed, not to mention the ones injured. Go to the hospitals and ask more people what they think. Other reporters in Iraq are all saying something else.

One thing is sure they do want to get rid of Saddam, but to say they want war is unproven. BBC has some good reports about this.

And me, my grand-parents told me that they were happy when they were seeing USAF/RAF bomber ( WW2 ) over their heads, because it was meaning that they were closed from their freedom and liberty.

That was very different, I wonder why people continue to use WW2 as a reference, that is a weakness, like I've said many times before, it was not only the Americans who "liberated" Europe. It were the allies. And you must also mention the other side of American actions that time. They made lot of money with arms deal first. And many peoples had to die first. Only when they saw their self in danger the helped. And you can't compare the peoples of that time with the peoples of this time.

You must open your eyes for once and listen to everything openly, why do you try to speak for the Iraqi people ? Many in Basra are angry because their situation got worse now because of the war. Western media don't show you everything. You and many others don't understand, America will never spend so much money and risk the lives of it's people to Liberate Iraqi's ! Think for your self for once.

Iraq is a strategic American interest. Stop ignoring that fact. They want to control, domination understand ? Read the documents and see for your self.

1) Oh, cuz you, you are speaking in their names may be ?

2) Yes. Like many ( a vast majority ? ), want to see Saddam and his butchers * out of service *.

3) Well, if you know a media who's showing us everything, feel free to tell us his name.

4) Don't worry. We are lucky. We have peoples like you to tell us the * true *.

5) I don't ignore anything. I just think that's better to live under an " Americana Pax " than under a * Russian Pax " , " China Pax " or any * others Pax ". I never saw a country, except the USA, who was freeing another one. Also, I saw what happenned when the USA were forced to go back at home ( i.e : South-Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos... )

More BS from the left:

"I've said many times before, it was not only the Americans who "liberated" Europe. It were the allies."

Who were the allies? United States, Great Britain, Austrailia, Soviet Union and some others.

Who is the coalition now? United States, Great Britain, Austrailia and some others.

Notice how the same countries are fighting for liberation of the Iraqi's? With the exception of Russia, who actually signed a non aggression pact with Nazi Germany, and kept all of the land they "liberated"

Some countries will always be poop. Good thing we have the Britons and aussies to even things out.
