No offence, but I do not believe in the world ending because of Gods Wrath and prophets showing signs and all that hocus pocus.

Although, it is highly possible that the Ruling Elite may utilize a global disaster for their advantage to set up a One World Government and drastically reduce human population.
edit on 23-5-2011 by CasiusIgnoranze because: (no reason given)

Where did I, or the prophecies say that the world will end "because of God's Wrath" ...?
Claims like these seem to happen when you rely on other scriptures and you THINK it must be the same stuff here too.
Well, IT ISN'T.

The UNIVERSE will end, because even as science says, as it was created through the Big Bang, so it will most probably end through a "Big Crunch" - imploding in itself.

It's not God "destroying" it because he is "angry". It is simply a term set from Him.

The Day when We will fold the heaven like the folding of a [written] sheet for the records. As We began the first creation, We will repeat it. [That is] a promise binding upon Us. Indeed, We will do it. - Qur'an, 21:104

This is very interesting, since the biggest minority of Jews in Iran TODAY is indeed in Isfahan.

And has been for some time. In fact, I remember hearing this gibberish being spouted about 6 years ago.

How could Muhammad know this?

That's not a real question is it? It is meant to make people dabble in thoughts then come up with: "DIVINE INSPIRATION." - it's very childish.

Isn't it to be expected that, since we muslims "spread islam with swords" and "force everyone to conversion"

First of all, you're a human not a Muslim. And second, Islam was indeed spread by the sword, do you want to argue that?

as the bigots say, there should be not one Jew left in Iran by now? Yet, even the President of Iran is of jewish ancestry (Ahmadinejad).

You should think twice before posting, or copying someone elses words.

First of all, why are you taking credit for the way Iranians treat Jews? Iranians are not Arabs and in a few years Iran will dump Islam as state religion when the elderly retire.

And also, just between you and me, the whole religious prophecy bit has been done to death. But, thank you for coming onto a site that denies ignorance to try and market a backward religion, thanks a lot. I thought that was only reserved for crazed Christians but oh well...

2 issues i see here

1. most (if not all) of the quotes are not from the Koran, but rather from what other people have heard prophet Mohammad saying, or drawing conclusions from koran verses

2. "...When you see barefooted, unclothed bedouins competing in the construction of tall buildings.” >>> your opening quote . Any idea what "unclothed" means here? does it relate to naked? well no naked Bedouins are building skycrapers. And the ones building those skycrapers now, still wear traditional Arabic clothing, even the rulers in UAE or Dubai or S.A.

nevertheless, nice research done, from an alternate point of view... ATS needs more diversity like this

1. I never said they are Qur'an quotes. They are hadiths (sayings of Muhammad).
2. He was describing the bedouins - in arabic original it is ONE word he used - translated in english with 2-3 words, but he simply meant the bedouins of the (southern) Arabia. extra DIV

Do you have ANYTHING to say about the prophecies themself? Or, to put it this way: Have you even READ them?

Otherwise, please do not derail my thread.

Well, I didn't expect a reply but a deflection is good enough for you to tell me plenty.

Yes, I read them,

They read like fakes to me. You know, really...REALLY fake.

Listen, the point is, do not be misguided by fancy words molded into "prophecy". You should know there is no way to check out if any of them were made by who they are claimed to be made. Derailing a thread?

Lets see here; you claim that Islam was not spread by the sword - that didn't happen, it's made up by bigots.

You say it right here:

since we muslims "spread islam with swords" and "force everyone to conversion" as the bigots say

You care to explain that one? Or are you willfully ignorant of history because it helps you to spread your religious ideology? Call yourself Muslim or Jew or Christian all you want, I won't bother you, but the second you try converting people or claiming how beautiful YOUR beliefs are, and lie while doing so - we are at war.

And don't play pretend...I know how your leaders are stepping up their rhetoric, trying to scare you into dogma even more. I know how certain conspiracies are sourced to Mosques that are run by extremists. I know how certain branches are trying to convert the conspiracy theorists in the West, because the "enemy of my enemy is my friend". Maybe you don't know it, but I sure do.

Dude, this thread is about those prophecies - which now, you simply say are "fake" (although they can be found in manuscripts as old as 1000 years - they are in muesums around the world, for anyone to see). It's not about the history of islamic empire or the "extremists" and "mosques" in the west and whatever.

For the second time: Please do not derail my thread.

I'm not derailing it, I'm questioning your credibility at understanding what you've posted in the first place. Because to me, it sounds like you've been sent to share these things with us.

You want to know why I think the prophecies are "fake"? You took the liberty of changing "tall buildings" and using the word "skyscraper" to fit your theory, otherwise it wouldn't have legs to stand on.

Next

Muhammed was talking generally about the people of (southern) Arabia.

So now you know what someone said hundred years ago. Because it's in a book? It's been told to you in a dream? You've had a revelation?

Next

thus literally COMPETING with each other who will build the higher building!

NEWSFLASH: People compete over everything. They will LITERALLY compete to death over the smallest thing, of course they are going to compete over building "tall buildings".

This prophecy, a Sign of the Last Days, has been fulfilled 100%.

Of course it isn't up to interpretation, that would be derailing the thread.

Here are some minor Signs (I will not comment these, look if you can recognize stuff):

If I had a time machine I would take you back 500 years just for you to hear the doom spreaders and apocalyptic stories. Then I'd take you back another 1000 years, then 1500, then 2000, then 2500 etc...and maybe you would understand these things have happened for a long time - but that doesn't mean we should ignore the bloody history of religions, that would be embracing ignorance.

Don't know what your problem is. What's with the rage?

You say meaningless stuff like I "changed tall buildings" with skyscrapers and stuff - what are you talking about? I gave the prophecy as it is written - with the word "tall buildings" - what did you expect, for Muhammed to use the word "skyscraper" (literally, in ENGLISH)?

I used the skyscraper word because that is what a tall building is ... Why am I waisting my breath with you? You are one of those who will argue about anything irrelevant just to release your anger.

Take a pill dude.

No rage, I'm very aware and have a healthy suspicion.

If you don't see anything wrong with that or how it could be of influence on the credibility of this "prophecy" then we are done talking. Obviously, you must dive into human sciences a bit more.

I used the skyscraper word because that is what a tall building is ...

The word "tall" is relative.

Why am I waisting my breath with you? You are one of those who will argue about anything irrelevant just to release your anger.

Irrelevant? You are trying to gather support for an organized religion and you are saying I'm being irrelevant? And what's this about anger? When you don't know what to say, I suddenly become angry? There is nothing wrong with having an angry undertone to my post(post, not person - see the difference) when you have a religious (under)tone to yours.

You see, this is the result of centuries of persecution done by religious people. People have struggled centuries to get out of the grasp of the religious authority, who blind people with such clichés as end of the world prophecies, to commit the worst of the worst of crimes.

Now, I don't know where you are from but I hail from Iran and I'm here to inform you that these religious tricks are not getting through the filter this time around. Nice deflections again.

Take a pill dude.

Why don't you take a pill and come back to reality huh?

While what is really happening is religious disinformation is leaking onto the internet.

Now, I have a hunch that religious authorities are onto the ideologies of conspiracy theorists and are trying to convert people by tricking them on a large scale, but I'm not sure about the size of said scale, but if Christianity is anything to go by it's being done on a relatively large scale.

I've seen it happen first hand in Denmark.

And if you don't believe organized religion is cashing in on the turmoil in the world, trying to convert gullible people(including a lot of you conspiracy thinkers trying to pick the lesser of evils), you are wrong. As wrong as you are by claiming I'm reaching for straws - as corruption must be cut from the root.

I think what we are looking at in this instance regardless of where it came from, is what we would call the inverse shotgun approach to prophecy. Take everything thats a norm. Invert it and then wait. Natural change will ensure a high degree of pellets hit. Its no different for Hindus, Christians, or any of the others.

This is just tripe prophecy.

Now Muslims, Christians and Jews all have the same first few books. Were the prophecies described in those shared books very specific and dead on the money? As the people got scattered in their own branches, the inverse shotgun made sure each branch was correct.

Kick this around for a minute:
People say Harold was wrong about the rapture. Well I propose this. What if God was actually telling him these things? What if all three branches needed false prophets? And Harold did exactly what he was told. Faithfully and to the letter? Then he is still high in heaven because he followed as instructed, and fulfilled Gods plan. His plan to provide false prophets for all three branches? The look on Harolds face yesterday was him being completely confused. Not upset because it didnt happen. There is something there and no one is seeing it for what it is.

Sorry....a little Oliver Stone leaked out on that one. But kick it around.

About your statement that Islam has been spread by the sword and force,

Indonesia which has the largest muslim population in the world is muslim , ethiopia, sodan, egypt .

Op, I think it is striking how many of these if not all of them have happened or are in motion at these times, its very hard to believe an illiterate human being could predict these 1400 years ago, which further proofs how mohammed (pbuh) is indeed the last prophet .

It doesn't make sense that god in his holy scriptures would say that only he knows the last hour and then just changes it, that doesn't resonate when he knows the past, future and the present .

Have you heard of the talking shoe prophecy? Yeah, NIKE just made one last year, or was it the previous year to that? Don't know, but my sister has one.

I was thinking about the naked and barefooted Bedouin also, I was wondering what that means.

An answer would be helpful, but non-the less great thought provoking article, and I have seen many more in Hadith where that came from. There are thousands of Hadiths and many talks about the future, because obviously people are always curious about the future, even now.

"...When you see barefooted, unclothed bedouins competing in the construction of tall buildings.” (From the Collection Sahih Muslim)

So did they build these towers with no shoes and and naked? Hmmmm nope they didn't, oh let me guess, you have your own or someone else's interpretation to tell us about

When are you and every other religious zealot going to get it through your heads, all religious books, ALL, were not written by god, they were written by MEN

I believe in god, or a creative force if you will, but all religion is a load of bollocks designed by men to control other men, and even if it didn't start that way it certainly turned out that way

Tell me if god is omnipotent, perfect in every way, why does he need such worship? Why is his ego so big and why is he so spiteful? The truth is he is not, but without hate and fear you can't control people

So here is a prophesy for you, your prophesy is just as bogus as all the other religious prophesies
