misleading people is not a nice thing to do.

With the degree to which this fellow mislead people, not being a 'nice think to do' may be the understatement of the year.

Yeah, it would be like a parent telling their child santa claus is real, just to find out your parents were lying and it was them the whole time....

He is HIDING!

HAHAHA! This is great, sorry but people need to see what kind of idiot he really is! People fed into this crap and it was on the damn tv! I mean really?! This was the dumbest thing ever and the fact people fell for it scares me. Do people not think for themselves anymore? I mean the MSM had it all over their shows, that really didn't surprise me. It's like AI to them, makes a spectacle so it causes ratings. Sad....

Anyways, enough with these dumb predictions. They are always made by some nut job who is obviously unstable!

quitting jobs, selling their possessions and donating all their money to support the Doomsday campaign.

I can't believe people are stupid enough to actually do that stuff.

Its ironic because the Bible warns about people like Camping and even specifically says:
"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." Matthew 24:36

and Matthew 24:11
"and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people."

So the people that were going rapture crazy didn't even bother to read the book that the concept of the rapture comes from... It doesn't get any dumber than that.

A lot of people don't bother reading the bible (maybe ever), they just listen to their preacher.

Well, if I had fleeced $70-120Million from the gullible - in a completely legal way [let's hope he's paying his taxes...unless he's exempt because of arcane and frankly STUPID laws that exempt religions/churches from taxation] - and I'd predicted that May 21, 2011 would be the rapture, and people were selling their stuff and giving me the money, and I pretty much KNEW that the rapture wouldn't happen....
Where would I be....?

Yep, on May 20, 2011 I would be at an airport somewhere waiting for my plane to somewhere lovely where I would be surrounded by beautiful women (and - to quote Douglas Adams - a small team of experts working out new ways for them to be nice to me), with a massive cocktail, and the biggest smile you could imagine.

Make religion taxable, and prosecute those who would mislead others to give them money based on bronze age mythology and little else. Then we can put a stop to this nonsense once and for all.

If you believed that a rapture would happen - especially based on Camping's "Bible studies" - then you are a fool. More than that, you are a ridiculous specimen of humanity who needs some serious counseling.

This man took money from people base on a lie, he is a fraud and people that send him money should all fall a law sue.

But as usual he either is raptured away to some Caribbean Island with what he rob out of people under false pretenses or people due to shame will just keep silence.

The people who lost their shirts on this guys word should be ashamed of themselves.

They should read their effing Bibles. NO ONE, not even Jesus, but the FATHER knows the time.

These people had it coming. I hope when the lawsuits start rolling in that the people who are making claims realize just how stupid they are.

Thing is, if they've given up their homes and their cash to him, how can they now afford a lawyer?

And just where did they spend the night last night? In his campers?
