Rapture is not occuring as scheduled!

I think we should organise these rapture dates more often, these threads are fun. June the 1st anyone?

Bear in mind that this guy Camping claimed that God is not at work in *any* Christian churches and that believers should flee the churches.

Yet, here is what 1 John 2: 18-19 says about this:

"Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us."

So it is not surprising in the least that the church should treat this guy as a heretic. The fact that he should encourage believers to leave their churches shows him up for what he is.

I can't help feeling sorry for those who believed this Rapture was actually going to happen. I can almost hear the crying and wailing of those for whom this event was a chance to escape the misery their lives might have become, for reasons known only to them. For some it could be financial ruin! For others it could have been (other than suicide) a last chance to escape a life of pain from a disease or illness that could be all they have known for years! There is a lot of misery in the world, and these charlatans who would get rich off the sufferings of others should be tossed into a fire and roasted alive! Make them suffer!

The rapture doesn't equate to the immediate end. The end has merely begun and those who will be spared were removed from the equation. Good luck (1.5- years and counting).

Am a big fan of The Invisibles and the X-Files so even though I don't usually beleive this stuff will maybe be a bit paranoid on that date...
