revolutionarypolitics.tv...

The link is an investigative video of Cops in TN who basically fund themselves by seizing money from motorists on the Interstate. They serve no real Law Enforcement function! I have been a Police Officer in a large city for over 17 years and I think this is absolutely ridiculous it fits the old pun of "HIGHWAY ROBBERY"

Yeah, they do the same for the judges filling in the privately owned prisons.

S&F. These multi-jurisdictional task forces of organized state and federal criminals actually are occurring in almost every state anymore. They shake down citizens and seize assets and money regardless of whether that citizen is charged with a crime. If that citizen then wants his assets or money returned the prosecutors who are also accomplices, send them into a legal merry-go-round that bogs them down and guarantees huge costs in fees and lawyers. It can take years to get your stuff back. Most people either cannot afford to even try or give up eventually. These are just fascist criminals who intimidate citizens and rob them blind under color of law. It is repugnant.

This is a sad thing, My wife and I carry a fund with us in case of a breakdown in our country and would like to continue, but are now afraid of the police more than criminals. All we have is legally obtained from hard work.

As we commute through Tennessee twice a year we are in a quandary and afraid to carry our cash as we usually do. As I said, the cops are more of a threat to us than criminals as that is what they have become. I just talked to my wife, and we will need to wire money which we wish not to do, nor will we be allowed to have emergency cash with us. I either will avoid that state, but certainly will not buy food there nor lodging. I will in fact boycott the state in any way possible, trying not to even buy fuel when passing through and i would suggest others do the same.

Why not get a real site link. Or at least post some of the story in the OP.

Linking into a heavily scripted site, such as your link in the OP, is ridiculous, careless and thoughtless.

Not everyone runs Internet Explorer.

Not everyone throws themselves and their computer security to the wind as I'm sure many people do these days.

google-analytics.com and google-apis.com (*.google-*.com) should be BANNED. And all their tracking cookies with them!

Where's a link to a REAL website?

If this story is real there should be many links for the OP to provide. Not some obscure heavily scripted personal blog or what ever it is... /*sigh*/

Edit to add: Found it ... youtube video... that's fairly open site...
edit on 5·19·11 by DrMattMaddix because: keep your scripted blog sites to yourself... thx

ATS Thread - Same Topic

This happens more than people think. If money is discovered during a traffic stop in a legal manner, and the owner of the vehicle states they dont know about the money or where it came from, they have no legal claim to that money.

Also, some people are not aware of how laws work with regards to Semis. They are regulated federally (Interstate Commerce) in terms of weight, number of hours they can legally drive before being required to stop and sleep for a required number of hours, in addition to the drivers of big rigs being required to have a medical card signed off on by the coroner / ME in the county they list as their residence that they are medically fit to operate a big rig, in addition to their cargos being subject to inspection at weigh stations as well as by law enforcement on the highways.

There is no probable cause or reasonable suspicion required in order to stop a Semi. There is no PC or RS required to search the contents of the trailer either.

Search and Seziure laws with regards to money and how that money is spent vary from state to state. Most states require it to go to education, the FEds bounce it around to different agerncies, including DOE, and local seizures can go back to the police department and be used for equipment purchaes etc.

In all of those cases, there are procedures in place that track how contact was made, to the search, to the seizure, all the way back to how that money is spent and whats purchased with it.

The title fo the thread is a bit misleading in my opinion, since it doesnt take into account how any of this actually works with regards to semis or large money shipments that are caught. Any money being brought into or out of the United States in excess of 10k must be declared.

I flagged and starred this thread. I think this is the most important story out there right now. I realize I don't have a dog in this fight as I am not a Tennessean, but my father was so this is still somewhat close to home. If I WERE however, a Tennessean, I would take a day's vacation from work and go down to the state capital with my HD camera and get an answer from my rep, my senator, the attorney general and the D.A. as to why these thugs aren't brought up on armed robbery charges. Oh wait, that's a felony. I guess I'd have to record myself asking the FBI what their thoughts are here.

I cannot believe it sometimes. It just gets worse and worse. I seriously had to watch that video a couple of times to make sure I heard it right. To me it sounded like the state government of Tennessee told the news station that they openly rob people randomly on interstate 40 and that they're only interested in money, and if the cops don't steal enough money then they'll have to find another job.

Where is my federal government on this?

Well first off, before you storm the Capital, please learn the laws when it comes to Motor vehicles, specifically Tractor Trails, cargo, manifest, medical card, inspections etc. Once you are done with that, check into Federal Law governing interstate commerce and tractor trailers.

Once done there, please familiarize yourself with state and federal laws dealing with the transport, possession and distribution of illegal drugs, as well as any profit from the sale of those items.

Last, please familiarize yourself with the different levels of Government, their respective jurisdictions, and what exactly constitutes a 42 USC 1983 violation on the officers part.

Once you are finished, feel free to storm the State Capitol... Although by then I think your mindset might have changed after having all the facts.

REspectfully
