Earthquake hits western Turkey; TV station says injured being treated at a hospital





ANKARA, Turkey — An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.9 hit western Turkey on Thursday, and there were reports of casualties and damaged buildings in one town. The Istanbul-based Kandilli Observatory said the quake in Kutahya province occurred at 23:15 p.m. (2015GMT) and was centered near the town of Simav. AHaber TV said there were casualties at a hospital in Simav, but did not say how many. Ambulances reportedly ferried the injured for treatment.

Well another one, the world is pretty busy these days.
I hope this isn't the precursor of something bigger.

My heart goes out to the people of Turkey hope they are ok.

Yeah, by the looks of it, they got quite a few aftershocks too! All around the 4.3 or 4.6 Magnitude range.

U.S.G.S. have now downgraded it to M5.8. I hope there aren,t many injuries
