But in all seriousness, big deal what they have? The US has the capability to destroy their weapons before they even have a chance to move them let alone launch them. And Pakistan does not have ICBM's.

The US is attacking Pakistan on a daily basis.
US drones are launched daily over Pakistan's skies and are killing dozens of people all the time.
US choppers are also often crossing over into Pakistan and conducting raids against taliban/al qaeda.
The other day Pakistani troops opened fire on US choppers. The US choppers fired back.
Technically there is a state of war that exists. Nobody has declared war yet, and no massive buildups or attacks have happened yet. But with relations deteriorating all the time, it could be a matter of time.

And if you think the US cares that Pakistan has nukes, think again. The above should be a good indication that they don't. Besides that, the US is more then likely to have special forces teams that have trained to move in to Pakistan quickly and secure the nukes, or disable them permanently, or make them safe to be destroyed by explosives.
Pakistan's nukes would not be an issue for long if war was inevitable.

I've been a RP fan for awhile now. but, after his comments following Obama's speech last week re: israel returning to 1967 borders, where he referred to israel as "our close friend", I'm off the RP train, and I'm suspicious of his motives and analysis on pakistan or anything else. Israel is, by far, america's biggest enemy. IF RP doesn't see that, he's senile, or playing for the other team.

Dude, RP knows the truth, but you have to pander to the sheeple a bit and he can't just come out saying Israel is our enemy or the MSM and rest of the world will politically lynch him. There is a lot to be said for subtlety. You have to listen to Ron Paul a lot to see his veiws on everything, and he does think like an awakened person

Would this qualify as a reason to invade Pakistan? Hell no.

BUT...give 1-2 more ''taliban'' attacks on sensitive military bases in Pak, or just ONE attack on a paki nuke facility, and NATO (read US) will have more then enough motive to ''secure'' Pakis nuke sites because at that point, those sites will be ''unsecure'' and a ''threat'' to US and allies.

Maybe is just a statement...but comes from the NATO head mouth.

if we try to attack Pakistan afganistan us bases are within striking distance of their nuclear weapons. and what if all this talk causes them to hit our troops with nukes preemptively
