Love the double post. I know what i say is important...but not so important as to have it posted twice back to back.

edit on 17-5-2011 by bigfatfurrytexan because: (no reason given)

In todays world, where we don't really know what words mean anymore, this is very true.

How many of you have said how much you LOVE ? Do you really love it? Is love too strong of a word?

There are two things that I think really drive all the meaningless hyperbole that we seem entrenched in. Obviously GW Bush was a lightning rod that ignited passions. But even more, the anonymous internet where you don't have to really filter your words has driven it.

The internet has driven our daily society so much that you hear things like "I LOL'd" being said in spoken conversations all the time.

We are a nation of hyperbole, and because of this words don't really have meaning anymore.

Spoken/Written like a true Gorrilla. lol

Get it?

I hear you and I totally agree with you. Words are a distraction rather than an enhancer to expression anymore.

Secret Service interrogates Tacoma 7th grader

www.q13fox.com

A Tacoma seventh grader faced federal interrogation at school for what he posted on his Facebook page. His mom said it all happened without her knowledge or permission. Timi Robertson said she had just finished lunch with a friend Friday when she got a phone call from her son's school.

"I answered it, and it's the school security guard who's giving me a heads up that the Secret Service is here with the Tacoma Police Department and they have Vito and they're talking to him," Robertson said.

After Osama bin Laden was killed, 13-year-old Vito LaPinta posted an update to his Facebook

One thing I noticed about newspapers, no matter the age or circumstances if the person of interest is male they always report the name. While even for grown women they routinely seek to hide the name if the person of interest is female, unless it is impossible to hide the name.

Heck I remember last year in the Hazleton Are School District(Luzerne County PA) a female teacher was caught having statutory raped a male student and she was just dismissed with her name with-held from the local paper(no charges pressed, so this sexual predator might be working in your school district now).

The Year before in Pottsville(I think or some-other town in Schuylkill County, PA) a young woman in cold blood shot her boyfriend with a shotgun(no claims of abuse, newspapers labeled it an "accident"). He walked onto his porch and died alone waiting for an ambulance and the local DA wouldn't even file negligence charges. Plus the newspapers went out of their way to hide her name even though she was over 18 years of age.

If anything that article reinforced the notion that we are living in an oppressive Matriarchy(In a Matriarchy men still lead but are only puppets because women get off on seeing men in leaderships like men get off on seeing women in bikini's).

Just look at the TSA and ask yourself the same question. They are a government agency who dont use their better judgement and fondle and molest little kids. I guess if they see little 6 year olds as a terrorist threat then the SS must think that a 7th grader could be a suicide bomber.

After Osama bin Laden was killed, 13-year-old Vito LaPinta posted an update to his Facebook status that got the Feds attention.

"I was saying how Osama was dead and for Obama to be careful because there could be suicide bombers," says LaPinta.

It was in the second or third paragraph of the article

The glaring mistake I see in this issue is that the SCHOOL allowed this minor to be interrogated without any kind of counsel present.
The janitor...err...I mean the security guard called the parent???
Why?
The principal was "on the phone"?? No doubt with HIS/HER attorney.
This is unacceptable to me.
The principal should have notified the parent and only AFTER the parent says "it's OK" should they have allowed the SS to speak with the child.
From the mother's side, this is not what happened.
Based on the info from the article, it is likely the SS was at the school before the lunch break was over, and the school officials knew what was up.
I also find it difficult to believe the school did not ask the parent to come to the school immediately.
I also find it hard to believe the parent did not tell the school she would be right there ASAP.

In my mind, the school handled this situation poorly, likely because they were rattled.
jmho

Peace

As sad as it is I would have to agree. We are going to have to put a stop to this somehow and soon.

I am about to think/believe it is too late.

We, the USA-as a nation, have slipped too far over the tipping point to return.

We are all sheep awaiting slaughter... we just don't all see it yet.

An interesting Update to this story. Seems like someone at the US Secret Service doesn't like FOX News- hehe

No Secrets On Twitter: Secret Service Official Posts "Tweet" Taking Aim At Fox News

Control. Alt. Delete! Little more than a week after the U.S. Secret Service launched its official Twitter account, the federal law enforcement agency has had a major system failure. Shortly after 3 p.m. Wednesday, the Secret Service's account declared on the social media site: "Had to monitor Fox for a story. Can't. Deal. With. The. Blathering." The posting was quickly removed, but within a half-hour dozens of other Twitter users had already begun re-posting -- or "re-Tweeting" -- the message. "Love the Secret Service tweets!" one Twitter user said.

Earlier in the day, Fox News had been covering the story of Vito LaPinta, the 13-year-old from Tacoma, Wash., who was recently visited by a Secret Service agent for posting a message on Facebook suggesting President Obama should watch out for terrorist attacks in the wake of Usama bin Laden's killing. LaPinta's mother was not present when the Secret Service interviewed her son, a move she decried as inappropriate.
