I do care that our forefathers decided to "go with Vattel" and even mention the Law of Nations in the Constitution. The Law of Nations says that citizenship follows the father. Obama's father was Kenyan, therefore, no matter where Obama was born he is not a natural born citizen. There is a difference between citizen, naturalized citizen and natural born citizen. Google is your friend.

There is no proof that Obama was born in Hawaii other than that ostensibly provided by his birth certificates (I have lost count of how many he now has). These have been shown to be computer-generated, whereas the health dept official in Hawaii said explicitly to Obama's lawyer that an exception had been made for the White House, so that instead of computer-generated copies being issued, photocopies were released of the supposed, original typewritten document, which would not have shown all the visible, computer-generated anomalies (different sized pixels, kerning, etc).

Even if Obama had been born in Hawaii, this would not guarantee natural-born citizenship. Claiming that nothing matters other than being born an American citizen is pure, unadulterated, legal nonsense. The fact that Obama must have given up his American citizenship (or whatever nationality he had as a child) in order to be regarded as an Indonesian, according to his school registration form, implies that he must have re-applied much later for American citizenship, which means that he cannot have been a natural-born citizen at the time of becoming president EVEN IF HE HAD HAD THIS STATUS WHEN HE WAS BORN. Where he was born is totally irrelevant to his eligibility to be president of the USA.

Regardless of your stance or mine, If any person is born within the 50 states of the republic, that person is a citizen of the United States.
