Do the priests know something we don't?

One of the many reasons I am not a catholic is the very restrictive nature of that particular interpertation of christianity.
Also I don't see the point of confessing to anyone other than god.
However it is interesting to note that reports of pedo-priests are near nonexstant in interpertations like baptist, protestant, or methodist where priest are expected to marry and have a family.

It is the silliness of man that there are celibate priest...if you look at it from the biblical point..

In the first century, long before the rise of Catholicism, the church was served by "bishops," also called "elders" (Titus 1:5-9). Among the biblical qualifications of bishops was that they be married. "A bishop then must be ... the husband of one wife ..." (1 Timothy 3:2; Titus 1:6). Celibacy was not an option for any man desiring to serve as a bishop in the church that Jesus Christ established.

On a side but related note, the New Testament church did not have a priesthood comparable to either the priesthoods of Judaism or Catholicism. The word "priests" in the New Testament is synonymous with being a Christian (1 Peter 2:5, 9). In light of that fact, the Catholic doctrine of celibacy would effectively prohibit marriage for all Christians. In truth, both the doctrine of celibacy and the Catholic priesthood are groundless, anti-biblical, manmade contrivances. Also...why do Catholics go to a priest for marriage counseling when they have no experience what-so-ever with marriage......

I told you what friends of mine that went into priesthood learn about, if you really want to know what a child molester priest knows than we don't know I suggest you go ask one directly yourself.

I don't think they'd tell me. They might not know anything. Maybe they are simply perverts who have lost complete control of their facilities. I'm simply speculating.

Just conjecture on my part but I think the mechanism may be more complex. I feel that these people from an early age had what they knew to be unacceptable urges. These feelings caused them to feel separated from the rest of society and the internal guilt may actually have been what drove them to the priesthood. They may have felt that devoting themselves to the church would somehow 'normalize' them. Unfortunately, the combination of sexual deprivation, trust, secrecy and readily available victims led to their following their urges. Just MHO of course...

No, never you did not ofended me at all I thing your question is pretty legit and If you find an answer I will like to know too.
