Many apologies! I was trying to find the best place to put this and frankly I believe that many of these events may have a correlation to 2012. You may disagree, and that is fine. Thanks for posting!

I would think since a comet is made up of mostly ice, rock and gases, it would disintegrate or melt before hitting the surface of the sun. Than again, what do I know.

That was Intense! I was wondering if it was even real from the size of the explosion. I suppose that the body that hit it was very large to create something that big. Very impressive imo. Thanks for posting this.

I suppose this could pertain to 2012, but for all our sakes I hope not.

2012, May 21, whatever.... that was a cool video! Good find and post. Not all things on ATS have to be unexplainable and suspicious! Thanks OP

Thanks! I'm glad I could share it with some people who find it as interesting as I do. It may not fit in this forum to some people, but I'm still amazed by it and wonder if it could be part of "things to come".

Astronomers call these "sundivers." Happens all the time....

As seen from the STEREO A satellite (a "side" view). The comet had nothing to do with the CME which began hours before the comet got very close to the Sun. In these images it is the white circle which represents the Sun itself, not the dark coronagraph disc.
